2013 Swimming and Diving Championships Rockwall Independent School District Natatorium Rockwall, Texas February 13-16 2013 SCAC Championships The SCAC Schedule The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) is an Women’s events take place before men’s NCAA Division III conference that has been in operation since 1962. SCAC schools are consistently ranked among the top colleges and Thursday, February 14 universities in the nation in such respected publications as (Prelims, 10:30 a.m.; Finals, 6:30 p.m.) Barron’s, Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report. 200-Yard Freestyle Relay (Prelim: optional - exhibition) The SCAC is currently comprised of Austin College of 10-minute break Sherman, Texas; Centenary College of Shreveport, Louisiana; 500-Yard Freestyle Colorado College of Colorado Springs, Colorado; University 200-Yard Individual Medley of Dallas of Irving, Texas; Southwestern University of 50-Yard Freestyle Georgetown, Texas; and Trinity University of San Antonio, 20-minute break Texas. 400-Yard Medley Relay (Prelim: optional - exhibition) Women’s 1-Meter Diving (1:30 p.m.) Beginning with the 2013-14 academic year, the SCAC will add Schreiner University of Kerrville, Texas and Texas Lutheran Friday, February 15 University of Seguin, Texas. (Prelims, 10:30 a.m.; Finals, 6:30 p.m. As members of NCAA Division III, SCAC schools are 200-Yard Medley Relay (Prelim: optional - exhibition) committed to the core principle that participation in sports 10-minute break should be solely from student interest and enjoyment of 400-Yard Individual Medley athletic competition, and that no financial aid shall be given 100-Yard Butterfly to any student which is conditional upon athletic ability or 200-Yard Freestyle participation in intercollegiate sports. 100-Yard Breaststroke 100-Yard Backstroke SCAC member institutions support students in their efforts to 20-minute break reach high levels of performance by providing them with 800-Yard Freestyle Relay (Prelim: all heats except the fastest heat) adequate facilities, competent coaching and appropriate Men’s 3-meter Diving (1:30 p.m.) competitive opportunities with students from similar institutions. At the 2003 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, Matt Smith of Rose- INDIVIDUAL EVENT SCORING Hulman Institute of Technology won the 100 yard breaststroke to give the league its first-ever individual 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 swimming title. In 2010, Trinity (Tex.) University teammates Lindsay Martin and Hayley Emerick claimed RELAY SCORING individual titles in the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, 40-34-32-30-28-24-20-18-16-14 respectively. And at the 2012 NCAA Championships, Jordan DeGayner of Colorado College won the men’s 200 free while Ruth Hahn of Trinity (Tex.) University continued the Tigers’ diving dominance with an individual title on the 3-meter board.
