Geoff Muldaur: Friday, October 6th; 7:30pm Geoff is one of the great voices and musical forces to emerge from the folk, blues, and folkrock scenes centered in Cambridge, MA and Woodstock, NY. During the 1960s and '70s, he made a series of highly influential recordings as a founding member of the Jim Kweskin Jug Band and the Paul Butterfield's Better Days group, as well as collaborations with thenwife Maria and other notables (Bonnie Raitt, Eric Von Schmidt, Jerry Garcia, etc.). He composed scores for film and television, and produced offbeat albums for the likes of Lenny Pickett and the Borneo Horns and the Richard Greene String Quartet. Exploring "Tradiginal" Folk Music, Sunday, October 15st, 2-4pm a performance-talk with Vincent Cross Poets and songwriters have been altering traditional sources for contemporary audiences for centuries: most notably Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie. Expect an introduction to traditional styles of instrumentation on acoustic guitar and banjo. Held in private residence on Upper West Side of Manhattan. Seating limited, reservations required. John Roberts: Friday, October 20th, 7:30pm Renowned singer of English songs and seashanties, John Roberts will entertain us in an informal concert.
