1.MARY KOM, SIDHU, SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY AND OTHERS NOMINATED TO RAJYA SABHA BJP leaders Subramanian Swamy, Navjot Singh Sidhu and boxer Mary Kom have been nominated by the Narendra Modi government to the Rajya Sabha. Narendra Jadhav, member of erstwhile National Advisory Council (NAC), Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi and journalist Swapan Dasgupta have also been nominated as the new Rajya Sabha members. President Pranab Mukherjee nominated the six personalities from different fields such as literature, science, sports, art and social service following a recommendation of the Narendra Modi government.

4.INDIA & FRANCE LAUNCH $1 TRILLION SOLAR PROGRAM India and France have launched a program with a potential of over $1 trillion to help developing countries harness fully their solar resources.

7. RBI TO AUCTION STATE GOVERNMENT BONDS WORTH RS 4,815 CR
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will conduct an auction of eight state government bonds aggregating Rs 4,815 crore on Tuesday, April 26 2016. These 8 states for which RBI will be conducting auctions are: Arunachal Pradesh (Rs 75 crore); Gujarat (Rs 1,000 crore with an option to retain an additional amount of Rs 300 crore); Kerala (Rs 500 crore); Manipur (Rs 50 crore); Punjab (Rs 400 crore); Tamil Nadu (Rs 1,000 crore); Telangana (Rs 1,500 crore) and Uttarakhand (Rs 290 crore).
