BASE SIZES March 2019
® BASE SIZES March 2019 BASE SIZES IN MATCHED PLAY GAMES In Warhammer Age of Sigmar, most distances are measured from one model’s base to another model’s base. In the vast majority of games, the actual size of the base is not terribly important, and you can use bases of whatever size or shape you prefer. The only possible exception to this is matched play games. This is because matched play games are intended to be evenly balanced contests, and in these circumstances having the same model on a different sized base can become an issue. To address this, on the following pages you will find a set of suggested matched play base sizes for all of the models in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar range. Don’t worry – you don’t have to rebase your model if it is not on the suggested base unless you want to (that’s why these are suggested base sizes rather than mandatory ones). If you prefer not to rebase your models, just assume that the model is mounted on a base of the appropriate size when setting the model up, moving it, or measuring any distances in a matched play game. For example, if you are a veteran player using an old unit that is mounted on 25mm square bases instead of the suggested 32mm round bases, you should set the unit up, make any moves, and measure all distances as if they were mounted on the larger 32mm round bases when you play matched play games. Although this may sound a bit complicated, in practice it is actually very easy to do. -

Get ready to get dizzy :) 1 - Creation of Ultron A - No Vision 1 - No marriage to Scarlet Witch/Immortus plan to prevent her from breeding possibly derailed 2 - No birth of children (Speed & Wiccan of Young Avengers) 3 - No undoing of their children, which Immortus engineered in part to ensure Scarlet Witch’s mental instability and thus pliability a – Mephisto and Master Pandemonium affected 4 - No Leonia, NJ-based events (Vision and Scarlet Witch maxi-series) a - No opportunity for Crystal to meet and have affair with Norman Webster 1 - No divorce from Quicksilver 5 - No defeating Salem’s Seven a – they conquer the witch town of New Salem, and we have an entire town of evil black mages working against humanity 6 – Does not form West Coast Avengers 7 - No Scarlet Witch insanity a – No Disassembled deaths of Ant-Man/Lang, Jack of Hearts, Vision destruction b – No M/M-Day/Decimation 1 - Hundreds of X-Men/mutant stories undone 8 - Grim Reaper’s Lethal Legion potentially defeat and slay Avengers (Captain America, Black Panther, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) a - Thousands of ripple effects from those deaths b - Grim Reaper won’t later feel the need to revive his “dead” brother Wonder Man as a zombie, which means Wonder Man presumably remains dormant 9 - Vision not present as one of the Dead Avengers who save the living Avengers during the Chaos War. -

Chaos War Mammoth Rules and Background
ANGKOR, THE FATHER OF MAMMOTHS, ‘HE WHO CARRIES THE WORLD UPON HIS BACK’ CHAOS WAR MAMMOTH BACKGROUND AND EXPERIMENTAL RULES v2 THE LEGEND OF TAROK OF THE KHAZAG THE KHAZAG TRIBE Many years ago, when the world was much younger, the Khazag were a primitive barbarian tribe living in the hard stone lands of the northern tundra. They knew little of the world beyond, of its gods or its wars. They survived the harsh winds and deadly cold by hunting herds of giant Mammoths across the tundra. All the tribesmen were raised to be fearless hunters and trappers, as they must be, to face such huge prey. The beasts they slew provided the tribes folk with all their needs. Furs for warm clothing, meat for food, hide for their tents, ivory and bone for weapons and for trading with other tribes, on the rare occasions the nomads crossed their path. Within their fire-warmed tents the tribe worshipped the great beasts that sustained their life. They honoured the beast’s spirit, but above all they gave praise to Angkor who they believed to be the ancestral father of all Mammoths, and upon whose back the world was carried. For hundreds of years Angkor provided for his people. The herds were strong, the hunting was plentiful and the tribal life of the Khazag remained unchanged. But if the Khazag had forsaken the world beyond, then the world had not forgotten them, and soon the eye of other far greater powers fell upon them. For none that live in the northern wastes can escape the true gods of that land for long. -

The Hulk is sometimes characterized as hyper-aggressive and brutal, other times as cunning, brilliant, and scheming. He is often portrayed as an antihero. The Hulk is cast as the emotional and impulsive alter ego of the withdrawn and reserved physicist Dr. Bruce Banner; Banner first transforms into the Hulk shortly after he is accidentally exposed to the blast of a test detonation of a gamma bomb he invented. Subsequently, Banner will involuntarily transform into the Hulk whenever he gets too angry or if his life is in danger, leading to extreme complications in Banner's life. Lee said the Hulk's creation was inspired by a combination of Dr. -

I also didn't like the way Wood handled the conflict between Storm and Rachel. Chaos War: X-Men. I can see they've put all the pieces in the right places Sadly main storyline was a lame one and in the end Coipel was replaced at artworks by Da First volume of Brian Wood's X-Men, risen from the ashes of Marvel's scheduled then deleted before release XX all-girls mutant series, is just far better than I used to remember when I've read it years ago as individual issues. And yet, something was missing. Generation Next. Then: school is in session! The art was pretty and that's about all the good I have to say about that. Make sure this is what you intended. Iceman 2nd series. Wolverine: Evilution. Secret Wars 2nd series. Compared to Fantomex doing that cold-blooded murder in Remender's X-Force though - he had no trouble showing us the act and lording it over our heads afterwards too. The X-Men have once again risen to become arguably Marvel Comics' biggest franchise in comic books. Not a great one, maybe not even a good one. It was a great character driven issue. The visuals were stunning, but many of the moments that should have felt like Moments felt kind of glossed-over, especially what was probably the dramatic climax of this arc. -
