JULY 2017

The Ebner Family Enjoys Both Old and New Traditions

Boutique Photographer JULYLinda 2017 Smallpage 1 BAY LEAVES / VILLAGE OF WHITEFISH BAY JULY 2017 2 BAY LEAVES / VILLAGE OF WHITEFISH BAY Dear Residents,

In most communities residents tend to take advantage of the long weekend the 4th of July holiday offers and leave for a vacation. I have found that in Whitefish Bay, people tend to plan “Bringing People Together!” their holiday weekend around being here for the parade and the fireworks, and then possibly heading out the next day for a vacation. We do the same thing because being here for the 4th of July really is a festive and unique experience. Our feature family, the Ebners love spending the holiday here as well with both of their girls riding bikes decorated in stars and stripes. Typically my parents will make the "long trek down" from Mequon to join us for the parade, and below is a photo from last year's parade of my father and son waiting for the parade to start. Well, let's be real. My son was really just waiting for some parade participants to toss pieces of candy his way! To those men and women in uniform who are serving today, or have served in the past, we honor and thank you for your service. Happy 4th of July!

Selling This Fall By Essam Elsafy

Did you miss the spring market? We all know that March through May are the peak selling months. In fact, 47% of accepted offers last year occurred during this 3-month period. It’s certainly a heated time for both sellers and buyers. But what if you were one of the folks that didn’t have their home on the market this spring? Should you wait until spring of 2018? Certainly not! Plenty of good selling time remains. That’s especially true this year, where a shortage of good housing inventory combines with CUSTOM HOME BUILDING a hungry buyer pool and low interest rates to create attractive AND REMODELING selling conditions for owners. Think of market activity as a double humped camel. There’s the 414-745-7159 big hump in the spring that we all know about. But we shouldn’t forget that it’s quickly followed up with a smaller but effective hump of activity in the fall. That’s your second opportunity to take advantage great market conditions. Mid-August through mid-November are splendid selling months. The weather is beau- tiful. Buyers are out. Homes are selling. In addition, you may be better positioned since there is typically less competition compared to the peak of spring. Buyers eager to find a new home before Thanksgiving or Christmas are in the hunt.
