PATRICK BOND, POET AND PHOTOGRAPHER OF NATURE 7.30pm Bridge Cottage An audio-visual presentation of poems and photographs exploring the natural world and its legacy on the Uckfield to Lewes railway line. Patrick brings years of experience as a poet and reader, and student of John Clare, as well as nine years as a Forest Worker, to this work. Currently, in association with the Railway Land Wildlife Trust, he is completing a year-long project to spend one day a week on the Railway Land nature reserve in Lewes. He is writing a poem for each occasion, which will build into a poetic survey of the life of the place through all the seasons, to be called Signals on the Railway Land. Sax and recorder player Tom was also a finalist in the BBC Awards and has recently released his debut album “No Excuses” with a sold out launch at leading London jazz club the Vortex. He recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, where his sister is studying trumpet. Their father, Mark is a much sought-after guitarist, who has played for Jimmy Smith, Natalie Cole and Eddie Parker and regularly plays with the BBC BIg Band. This year’s festival is no exception bringing you quality and variety throughout starting with headline acts THE AYNSLEY LISTER BAND, CATFISH, THE HEIDI BURSON BAND and VERONICA SBERGIA & MAX DE BERNARD We have international acts from Italy and the USA, we have both young and old performers including Marcus Praestguard-Stevens (Crossfire) who has just turned 14 and Dick Middleton (The Vincents) who played with Gene Vincent and Johnny Hallyday (who is much older than 14).
