75 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL ___________________________ 20 FEBRUARY 2007 EC2007-104 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL ACT MINISTER OF HEALTH AUTHORITY TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT (PROVINCIAL/TERRITORIAL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING RE JOINT ONCOLOGY DRUG REVIEW) WITH THE OTHER PROVINCES AND THE TERRITORIES Pursuant to clause 10(b) of the Executive Council Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. E-12 Council authorized the Minister of Health to enter into an agreement with the governments of the other provinces and the territories, as represented by their respective Ministers responsible for health, to outline the roles and responsibilities of the parties in establishing and evaluating a joint oncology drug review during the period January 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008, such as more particularly described in the draft agreement. EC2007-105 ISLAND REGULATORY AND APPEALS COMMISSION ACT ISLAND REGULATORY AND APPEALS COMMISSION APPOINTMENT Pursuant to sections 2 and 3 of the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. I-11 Council made the following appointment: NAME TERM OF APPOINTMENT Anne Petley 13 February 2007 Murray River to (reappointed) 13 February 2010 76 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL ___________________________ 20 FEBRUARY 2007 EC2007-106 POLICE ACT PROVINCIAL POLICE APPOINTMENT Pursuant to section 6 of the Police Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. P-11 Council authorized the following person to exercise the powers of a provincial police constable, effective 20 February 2007: Donald Lloyd DesRoches Further, Council ordered that should Donald Lloyd DesRoches cease to be employed as an instructor with the Atlantic Police Academy, his appointment as a provincial police constable shall terminate coincident with the date his employment with the Atlantic Police Academy is terminated. EC2007-107 PUBLIC DEPARTMENTS ACT ACTING MINISTERS APPOINTMENTS Under authority of subsection 4(2) of the Public Departments Act, R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. P–29 the following appointments were made: 1. Honourable Gail Shea to be Acting Premier and Acting President of the Executive Council from the 20th through 27th February 2007; Honourable Mitch Murphy to be Acting Premier and Acting President of the Executive Council, commencing on the 28th day of February 2007 and continuing for the duration of the absence from the Province of Honourable Pat Binns. 2. Honourable Philip Brown to be Acting Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs commencing on the 20th day February 2007, and continuing for the duration of the absence from the Province of Honourable Elmer MacFadyen. 3. Honourable Jim Bagnall to be Acting Minister of Environment, Energy and Forestry commencing on the 24th day of February 2007, and continuing for the duration of the absence from the Province of Honourable Jamie Ballem. .
