Unit II: The Progressive Era
During the Progressive Era, a small but powerful army of journalists, essayists, novelists, public speakers, organizers, and photographers arose to draw attention to the social problems of the Gilded Age. Their inspired efforts led to vital reform.

The Progressive Era: Biographical Documentaries
During this unit, you will research and produce a short, 3-4 minute documentary on the achievements of one of the following reformers. You may work singly or in pairs, but if you choose to collaborate, it will be essential that you and your partner complete a comparable amount of research and that you share the role of writing, recording, editing, etc. equitably. Time will be allotted to this project in class and humanities blocks, but you will also need to complete some elements of the project for homework.
