The Water (Supply of Water Outside the Kampala Water Supply Area) (Authorisation) (No. 3) Instrument. (Under section 96 of the Act.)

1. Citation.

This Instrument may be cited as the Water (Supply of Water Outside the Kampala Water Supply Area) (Authorisation) (No. 3) Instrument.

2. Authorisation to supply water outside Kampala water supply area.

The Kampala and District Water Board is authorised to supply water to the area described in the Schedule to this Instrument being an area outside Kampala water supply area.

3. Charges for water supplied.

The charges for the water so supplied shall be the same as the charges applicable to the water supplied within the Kampala water supply area.

The area contained within the following boundaries— Commencing at the most easterly cairn of former Kyebando Public Land FC.8514 (71/IVR480.385) being a point on the boundary of the present area; thence proceeding clockwise in a straight northwesterly direction following River Nasabyenda through a point 71/IVR470.400 to the source of Tuyanyi River and east of Kabulengwa Hill; thence following Tuyanyi River and crossing Kampala-Hoima road at about 3½ miles from Kampala; thence in a northerly direction along Katanga/Mayanja rivers to a point northwest of Agricultural Research Station and former Public Land 71/IVR- 462.470; thence in a straight easterly direction north of Kawanda Land for

a distance of approximately 2½ miles crossing Kampala-Bombo road at about halfway to a point 71/IVR500.470; thence in a northern direction for approximately 4,000 feet to a point 71/IVR500.480 south of Watinda River and northwest of Namalere Research Station; thence in an easterly direction for about 2 miles crossing Road at approximately 6,000 feet to a point 71/IVR 530.480; thence in the northern direction for a distance of approximately 4,000 feet to a point 71/IVR530.490 east of Namwezi Land; thence in a straight line in an easterly direction for 1½ miles and part of it along -Nangabo road to a point 71/IVR550.490 and about ½ mile from Kasangati junction; thence in a northern direction through Nabutaka and Makenke lands for a distance of approximately 2 miles to a point 71/IVR550.520 south of Senjovu River; thence in a straight easterly direction for a distance of approximately 2 miles crossing the northern side of Kabanyolo University Farm and Gayaza- road at about 4,000 feet from the previous point to a point 71/IVR580.520 south of Nalyamagonja and in Kyetume Land; thence in a straight southerly direction for a distance of approximately 4 miles crossing Kampala-Kasawo road, Kayebe and Namavundu villages to a point 71/IVR580.470; thence in a southeasterly direction along Kasangati-Kira road to a point 71/IVR590.450 east of Buwate Land; thence in a straight easterly direction through Mulawa area and crossing Kira-Manywangwa road at about 4,000 feet from the previous point for a distance of approximately 2½ miles to a point 71/IVR630.450 in Nakiyanja River; thence in a straight southerly direction for a distance of approximately 2½ miles to the northern part of Estate and land at a point 71/IVR630.413; thence in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 6,000 feet to a point 71/IVR650.413 west of Kiwanga Land and south of Mawoto Land; thence in a southerly direction to meet the existing water supply area at the northernmost point of Forest Plantation, former Public Land 2640; thence following the western, northern and eastern boundaries of Namanve Forest Plantation, former Public Land 2640, to the point where the boundary meets the railway reserve; thence following the railway reserve towards Mukono for a distance of approximately 7,200 feet to the point where the eastern boundary of Kolo Forest, former Public Land 2640, crosses the railway reserve; thence due south for approximately 7,500 feet to the edge of the Kayobe swamp; thence in a generally westerly direction along the edge of the Kayobe swamp and the Wankolokolo swamp to the boundary of the City of Kampala to a point 71/3VR580.253 from where it follows the line demarcating the main land and lake through Kigo Prison area and Kajansi marketplace crossing - Kampala road at about 7 miles; thence along to the southern boundary of Mailo Estate at a point about ½ mile 71/IVR467.317

before the latter’s southwest corner; thence in a clockwise direction westerly and then northerly crossing Kampala/Kasanja road at about 6 miles and Masaka Road at the junction of new and old Masaka roads to a point on the existing water supply area in River 71/IVR454.342; thence upstream along River Nasabyedda/Lubigi to the most easterly cairn of former Kyebando Public Land, the point of commencement.
