Mark Knopfler Il 9 Marzo Esce Il Nuovo Album VENERDì 16 GENNAIO 2015 Uscirà il 9 marzo per Universal Music "TRACKER", il nuovo album di Mark Knopfler. L'album, già ordinabile su itunes, conterrà 11 nuove canzoni firmate da Knopfler ispirate a diversi argomenti, inclusi autori come Beryl Mark Knopfler Il 9 marzo esce il Bainbridge e Basil Bunting. nuovo album "Tracker" Le canzoni, tra cui il singolo "BERYL" in radio dal 23 gennaio, contengono Dal 23 gennaio in radio il primo singolo "Beryl" come sempre racconti, sarcastici e al tempo stesso accurati, di vita vera, completati con la musicale delicatezza distintiva di Knopfler. Come sempre, KNOPFLER ha dato la possibilità ai musicisti in studio di LA REDAZIONE lasciare la loro impronta sul materiale registrato senza però che questo abbia interferito nell'essenza delle canzoni. Il suo caldo tono di voce così come quello della sua chitarra danno all'album quell'unico MK feel. Il risultato è un'affascinante collezione di nuove canzoni e probabilmente il più soddisfacente lavoro solista di Knopfler fino ad oggi. [email protected] SPETTACOLINEWS.IT "TRACKER" è stato prodotto da Knopfler e Guy Fletcher ed è stato registrato ai British Grove Studios di London. La band era composta da Mark Knopfler alla chitarra, Guy Fletcher alle tastiere, John McCusker on violino, Mike McGoldrick al flauto, Glenn Worf al basso e Ian Thomas alla batteria. Tra i musicisti ospiti sono presenti Ruth Moody (dei The Wailin' Jennys) alle voci, Nigel Hitchcock al sax e Phil Cunningham alla fisarmonica. KNOPFLER ha dichiarato: "il titolo del disco "Tracker" mi è venuto in mente cercando di trovare una mia strada lungo I decennia. Guardando da fuori il tempo passato, le persone, i posti, le cose del mio passato e il processo di tracciare come si registrano le canzoni in studio". È stato annunciato nel frattempo un tour europeo che partirà a maggio. "Parte del divertimento è pensare a cosa dovrai fare per un nuovo tour. Per me questa è gioia, mettere insieme una piccola crew e spiegare ancora una volta le vele. È davvero una nuova avventura". Knopfler ha sempre visto il tour come la parte finale del processo che va Pag. 1 / 4 dalla scrittura alla registrazione di nuovi brani, un percorso che si conclude con la possibilità di suonare vecchie e nuove canzoni live. Nonostante sia in tour, Knopfler scrive oggi molta più musica rispetto al passato. Mark Knopfler ha pubblicato 7 album solisti, ha registrato "Neck And Neck" insieme al grande chitarrista Chet Atkins e ha collaborato con Emmylou Harris in "All The Roadrunning". Ha inoltre scritto la colonna sonora per "Local Hero" e "The Princess Bride" e in questo momento è al lavoro su un nuovo film "Altamira". Oltre ad aver prodotto i suoi album, Knopfler ha prodotto anche altri album tra cui Bob Dylan e Randy Newman. Knopfler ha ricevuto l'onorificenza di OBE (Order of the British Empire) nel 1999 e ha ricevuto il prestigioso Lifetime Achievement Award agli Ivor Novellos nel 2012. As a small, devolved nation with relative autonomy from the United Kingdom, Scotland presents an interesting case for how films are labelled with a national identity, as Scottish films can also often be understood in a British, European, and even global context. Rather than attempting to construct a working model of Scottish cinema based on representation or production context, I ask how films have been constructed as Scottish. I approach the concepts of Scotland and Scottish film as sets of meanings that are subject to change over time and in different contexts. This facilitates a perspective which asks in what ways Scotland and Scottishness is constructed in film. I examine how multiple identities are balanced in the filmic construction of Scotland first by considering how Scottish films—both those made in and which are about Scotland—from the early 1980s to the present construct Scottish identities. I will consider the way these films explored ‘traditional’ Scottish identities in the 1980s, Scottish masculinity in the 1990s, and Scottish identities based on ethnicity and gender in the 2000s and 2010s.
