Disclaimer – This booklet was made with all the most current information available to me at the time of printing (5‐Aug‐2019) & as such this info may not be correct when you go to reference it yourself, So: *It is highly reccomended that, prior to going to any of the establishment’s listed within that you check their Website//Instagram etc, maybe give them a call or fling them a message to ensure the business is still operating & that they are actually open*

This tip is offered from experience, you can ask my wife why this disclaimer is in here – in 2011 after flying from Australia to Vancouver & diesembarking I seemingly dragged her for hours through the wrong part of town only to find that: A) We could have been mugged because we were obviously trudging around that gnarly suburb looking like two stupid tourists And B) The retro games shop I was looking for was no longer there & had appeared to have been gone for a very long time…. The silent treatment I got for the following few hours was astoundingly ominous.

Side Note: This booklet was collated from info gathered over the past few years and more recently has been compiled into its current form with all of the most up to date information made available to me these past few weeks. I know for a fact that I’ll probably be missing a few key places around Australia that support the classic arcade gaming & retro gaming scene, so If I missed an establishment or an event that you’d like to see it put in next years version of this booklet please send your reccomendations and any details you can about the arcade/barcade/shop/event/museum/exhibit to [email protected] or via Instagram @Mykel_See

A special thanks goes out to the following people who had a hand in passing along information to me for adding to this booklet: Buzz (Mr Mortal Kombat), John Mc (Mr Bump & Jump), Jon T (Mr Space Invaders), Johnny B (Ultimate 1), Shaun R (Ultimate 2), Jason L (Mr Pinball), Mark T in Perth, Matt H, The Melbourne boys: Jack P (Mr DMG), Greg P & last but not least: My lovely & patient wife Rhi who has stood by me & supported me in all my retro & arcade gaming pursuits. She more recently had to put up with me as I spent over 70% of my free time creating this booklet while I sat on the laptop at home being anti‐social while typing it all up, messaging the establishments & mates who’d visited them lately to gain the most current info I could get my hands on. She Rocks As for me, the author of this booklet, I’m Mike Coolican. I‘ve been collecting & playing old school games since the early 2000’s. This booklet represents the physical incarnation of a list I’ve been building over the past 6 years. I hope this booklet guides you to places where you can experience your favourite games from your past or help you find classic games you never knew you liked playing, while out or at home. Overall I really hope this helps you find good, fun times.

Lastly a HUGE THANKS goes out to Jimmy Nails, the rest of the BPAC team and all the sponsors who helped organise, host & run the event: The beast that has turned into THE BRISBANE PINBALL & ARCADE COLLECTIVE SHOWCASE 2019
