Disclaimer – This booklet was made with all the most current information available to me at the time of printing (5‐Aug‐2019) & as such this info may not be correct when you go to reference it yourself, So: *It is highly reccomended that, prior to going to any of the establishment’s listed within that you check their Website/Facebook/Instagram etc, maybe give them a call or fling them a message to ensure the business is still operating & that they are actually open* This tip is offered from experience, you can ask my wife why this disclaimer is in here – in 2011 after flying from Australia to Vancouver & diesembarking I seemingly dragged her for hours through the wrong part of town only to find that: A) We could have been mugged because we were obviously trudging around that gnarly suburb looking like two stupid tourists And B) The retro games shop I was looking for was no longer there & had appeared to have been gone for a very long time…. The silent treatment I got for the following few hours was astoundingly ominous. Side Note: This booklet was collated from info gathered over the past few years and more recently has been compiled into its current form with all of the most up to date information made available to me these past few weeks. I know for a fact that I’ll probably be missing a few key places around Australia that support the classic arcade gaming & retro gaming scene, so If I missed an establishment or an event that you’d like to see it put in next years version of this booklet please send your reccomendations and any details you can about the arcade/barcade/shop/event/museum/exhibit to [email protected] or via Instagram @Mykel_See Contents: Queensland ‐ Pages 3 to 10 Covering Arcades, Barcades & other places to play classic arcade machines, Retro Game Shops & places to play Pinball in the following Brisbane suburbs: Bowen Hills, Chermside, Fortitude Valley, Greenslopes, Morningside, South Brisbane, Wooloongabba Gold Coast suburbs: Carrara, Coolangatta, Robina Sunshine Coast suburb: Noosaville Western Australia ‐ Pages 11 to 16 Covering Arcades, Barcades & other places to play classic arcade machines, Retro Game Shops & the Videogame Console Museum in these suburbs: Gosnells, Kelmscot, Malaga, Morley, Mount Lawley, North Perth, Northbridge, Perth New South Wales ‐ Pages 17 to 20 Covering Arcades, Barcades & Retro Game Shops found in these suburbs: Campbelltown, Goulburn, Newtown (plus events at 1989), Penshurst, Tweed Heads Victoria ‐ Pages 21 to 24 Covering Arcades, Barcades & other places to play classic arcade machines, Retro Game Shops in these suburbs: Bayswater, Fitzroy, Geelong, Melbourne, St Kilda South Australia & Australian Capital Territory (A.C.T) ‐ Page 25 Arcade & place to buy retro video games S.A. – Craigmore A.C.T. ‐ Fyshwick Arcade Comps coming up around Australia in 2019/2020 – Page 26 Thanks & notes – Page 27 Queensland (Brisbane & surrounds) Morningside Greenslopes Eddies Retro Location: Shop 26, Greenslopes Mall, 700 Logan Rd, Greenslopes QLD 4120 On Sundays from 1.30pm to 5:30 pm Eddies Retro operates at the Rocklea Markets (250 Sherwood Rd, Rocklea QLD 4106) ‐ Market Stall 246 Retro games shop for old school games & consoles to buy/trade/sell, also deals in games & consoles from the current gen as well as in vinyl records & collectibles Thousands of games including C64, ATARI, NES, SNES, NINTENDO 64, GAMECUBE, WII, WIIU, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, SEGA MEGA, MASTER, MEGA CD, SATURN , DREAMCAST .
