Fiber Arts at the Old Creamery The Fiber Arts Trail has come and gone and it was a success beyond our wildest dreams! We had over 500 people who came to see us…to view our Woolen Mill operations and many first timers who had never been to our quilt shop. It was an exciting weekend for everyone and we are so grateful that we have individuals in Minnesota who love fiber as much as we do. Winners of the large prizes that day were Shelly Streed, Jeanie McCoy, Carol Lange, Kathy Enns, Mary Fuechtman, Sue Lieser, Phylis Plattner, Lois Erickson.

The hidden needle—Did you spot it? Our lottery draw of those turning in the correct location of the hidden needle is Penny Schmidt who will receive a charm pack of their choosing. We had no submissions for naming the longarm machine, so our current longarmer bestowed on it the name of Sassie! Her reason: Sassie is someone who can be your best friend or your worst enemy. She can be very loud and talkative—humming when she is happy or talking back by beeping at you continuously when she thinks you’re wrong! She might annoy you at times but is still very lovable. She may look like she tries very hard but really couldn’t care less by acting up when she knows you are in a hurry. She is quite smart and extremely creative. She is very open to trying new things, but has a hard time getting herself to do them without some help. Although she is usually very busy doing her thing, she is the one you want to hang around!

The Woolen Mill We are busy processing wool! Be sure to follow us on Facebook, to see all the new products we are working on. https://www.facebook.com/oldcreamerywoolenmill/

Bring your own machine, a quilt project, lunch, and a friend if you’d like. We have sewing stations, a cutting station, and an ironing station with a display wall being planned. If you wish to improve your quilting skills, the Creamery staff will be available for encouragement and help if needed. We would love to share our knowledge; or just get a chance to see what you all are working on these days. We love show and tell and projects by others always provide inspiration for the group.
