MASTER’S AND DOCTORAL PROGRAMS OUTCOMES SUMMARY – CLASS OF 2017

Outcomes data for the Saint Joseph’s University Class of 2017 were obtained through a survey of graduates who received master’s and doctoral degrees between January and September 2017. The survey was conducted between July and December 2017 by the Career Development Center. Of the 1507 master’s and doctoral degree recipients, information was gathers on 648 graduates representing 43% of the graduating class.

• 96% of graduates are employed, pursuing additional education and/or serving in full-time volunteer programs or in the military. 91% of graduates are employed full-time. Those seeking employment totaled 4%. • The vast majority of graduates from graduate degree programs (91%) reported working full-time in a wide variety of industries, the most common being:

• Education (24%) • Pharmaceuticals (5%) • Health / Medicine / Biotech (17%) • Community and Human Services (4%) • Financial Services (10%) • Consulting / Business Services (3%) • The average reported base salary for master’s and doctoral degree program graduates of 2017 was $78,810. The average reported bonus was $8,330. • For graduates of the Graduate Business programs the reported average base salary was $94,263. The average reported bonus was $13,153. • For graduates of Graduate Arts & Sciences programs, the reported average base salary was $70,129. The average reported bonus was $6,390.
