The Paul Anheuser wine estate is part of a long family tradition that dates back to the 30 Years War (1618 – 1648). Paul’s son, “Peter” Anheuser and Dorothee, has managed the winery since 1969 as the 13th generation and has expanded the market for “Paul Anheuser Wine” worldwide. In 2005 the 14th generation Rudolf III and Paul Christian Anheuser took over the reins of the family business. The roots of the Schönborn family can be traced back to the times of the crusades and the first mention with respect to viticulture was in 1349. The oldest known still drinkable wine is in fact the 1735 Johannisberger. The Earls von Schönborn were also important patrons of the South German baroque. A total of 50 hectares of vineyards are today cultivated throughout the aristocratic Rheingau area. Georg Müller Stiftung, owned by Peter Winter, produces on 15 hectares in the world famous wine region Rheingau top class Riesling and Pinot Noir. The estate was established in 1882 and was a founder member of the VDP German Predicate Estates in 1910.

The large family-owned wine estate in the Rheinhessen region looks back on a long tradition. In fact, the origins of the estate can be traced back to the year 1604. The estate is currently run by the 12th generation of the Muth/Hirsch family.

In 1881 the Stiglers laid the foundation of the family’s wine estate by purchasing a parcel of vines in the highly reputated Ihringer Winklerberg, the most southern slope of the Kaiserstuhl, one of the hottest spots in the southern region of Germany named BADEN. The typical vines grow on volcanic stone soil. The wines have a pronounced character. They are elegant, full-bodied wines, rich in fruit and rounded acidity and reflect the individual style of the winemaker and the region.
