Out of State Mixer Tuesday, August 24, 7 p.m. in the Barfield Drawing Room of the SUB (Bill Daniel Student Center). New Bears: Welcome to Texas! Meet other new students from your region of the country or the world at the Out of State Mixer. (Don’t worry, Texans, you are invited too!) This event is sponsored by New Student Programs.

MOSAIC Hump Day Wednesday, , 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Fountain Mall. Excited about the fall semester? Come out to Fountain Mall for a time of fun and games as our National Pan-Hellenic and Unified Greek Councils welcome you to campus. In partnership with Multicultural Affairs, this Hump Day is sure to be a great way to spend the lunch hour. We’ll see you there!

MOSAIC Mixer 2021 Wednesday, August 25, 6:30 p.m. at the Vara Martin Daniel Plaza behind the fountain. Mosaic Mixer is the signature back to school event from the Department of Multicultural Affairs you don’t want to miss. From a chance to meet and connect with student organizations , free food from area vendors, to a performance showcase to declare the 2021 Mosaic Mixer champion, this event is back live and we can’t wait to see everyone! Vaccine Clinic at MOSAIC Mixer Wednesday, August 25, 6-8 p.m. at Barfield Drawing Room in the Bill Daniel Student Center (SUB). If you haven't yet been vaccinated, consider dropping into the SUB during Mosaic Mixer for just a few minutes to get your COVID-19 vaccine. For more information, go to baylor.edu/vaccine. If you get vaccinated at any of the clinics this week or report your vaccine using the HIPA-protected form, you will receive a free Baylor bucket hat or waist pack!

Black Student Welcome (Mosaic Week) Thursday, , 7-9 p.m. in the Barfield Drawing Room of the SUB (Bill Daniel Student Center). Mosaic Week kicks off with Mosaic Mixer. Mosaic Mixer is an event that allows students to meet one another and get connected with different cultural organizations, coalitions, and other departments on campus. This event includes free food, music, a student organization fair, and a cultural showcase. Following this event, a night is set aside for each ethnic group to have their own welcome/fair for their respective organizations. This includes Black Student Welcome, Hispanic Student Night, and Mosaic Asian Night. Hosted by BU Multicultural Affairs

SophoMORE VIP Hour @ Late Night Friday, , 8-9 p.m. at McLane Student Life Center, Russell Gym, Moody Library, Fountain Mall, Bill Daniel Student Center (SUB). For the first hour of Late Night, you'll have early access to everything. Hosted at various locations around campus, be the first to enjoy the fun and excitement! Late Night Friday, August 27, 9-11:45 p.m. at McLane Student Life Center, Russell Gym, Moody Library, Fountain Mall, Bill Daniel Student Center (SUB). Established in 2001, Late Night is one of the most anticipated programs of the fall semester. Students have the opportunity to meet student leaders from over 225 student organizations and learn about the many opportunities for campus involvement. Self-Defense Workshop for Women and Men Saturday, , 1-2:15 p.m. in the Bearobics Studio on the 3rd Floor of the Student Life Center (SLC). The Department of Wellness will be hosting three Self-Defense workshop this semester. The first of three workshops will be held Saturday, August 28th from 1-2:15 p.m. at the Bearobics Studio, located on the third floor at the SLC. The workshop, led by Tim McFatridge with 30 years of experience in teaching martial arts, will include discussion on surrounding awareness, vital targets, and basic defense tactics. All participants will receive a participation certificate at the end of the workshop. To register, email [email protected] by Friday, August 27th.

Get Fit and Have Fun with Baylor Fitwell This Fall Sign up for FitWell for All and F45 today by clicking on this link. Classes begin August 30th. FitWell for All classes, sponsored by Ascension Providence, will be FREE this semester. Over 40+ classes/week from Yoga, Refit, Bare, Bear Cycle, Boxing, Zumba, Kickboxing, Taekwondo, and more. Service Opportunity: Volunteers Needed! During the school year, various service organizations serve at The Salvation Army Community Kitchen. This center provides meals for the hungry and homeless 365 days a year. The Salvation Army's primary need is during dinner hours (4:30-6:30 p.m.) and/or Sunday breakfast (7:15-9:15 a.m.). UPDATED Campus Rec App Campus Rec just completed an update to their Campus Rec App! Included is the ability to enter the SLC, register for trips, clinics, events and IM sports, and pay for it right on your mobile device! Check out the Campus Rec App page for more information.

Campus Rec IM Sports PLAY PASS! Beginning this fall, Campus Recreation’s Intramural Sports program will introduce an updated, participant-based, IM registration system for all students planning to compete in an intramural sport this year. The new “PLAY PASS” – only $20 per player, per semester – allows students to participate in any of the 10 intramural sports offered during the fall semester for just one fee. Team fees are no longer included as part of the intramural structure. Students purchase a Play Pass at the SLC Front Desk or through the Campus Rec APP.

Campus Rec Mobile ID for SLC Entry Included in the update to the Campus Rec App, valid Baylor ID cardholders can use the Member ID icon in the app to display a bar code that is then scanned as they enter the SLC. The normal Bear ID and password are needed to complete authentication, and bar codes only last a short time. Cardholders are encouraged to keep your Baylor ID card handy or use a valid picture ID should your device fail to work properly.

Food Trucks on Campus and REVOLVE Restaurant This year you can look forward to a robust line-up of food trucks rotating every two weeks Monday thru Friday on 5th Street. We will also have many of your favorite local eateries rotating at our Revolve space housed in the 1st Floor Lobby of the Bill Daniel Student Center every four weeks.
