He was voted in as Governor by the Parliament of the Republic of Albania on 5 February 2015, upon the Decree of the President of the Republic of Albania. Mr. Sejko graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, in 1991, in industrial economics. He earned a Master's degree in International Accounting and Financial Management (MAcc) from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 1997, with his thesis on the "Role of banks and privatisation of banks in economies in transition". Mr. Sejko started his banking career in 1992 as Head of Credit Division of the National Commercial Bank. Then he worked as an Inspector at the Supervision Department of the Bank of Albania, until 1998, while pursuing his post-university studies. During 1998-2000, Mr. Sejko worked for Deloitte & Touche as senior auditor and consultant, responsible for the management of audit procedures. In the years 2001-2002, he worked for the American Bank of Albania as Head of Internal Audit and Compliance Division, and engaged in extending the branches network of the bank. During 2002-2004, Mr. Sejko returned to the Bank of Albania's Supervision Department as Head of Division for on-site examinations.

    ALBANIA TOURISM FOR SOLIDARITY AND SUSTAINABILITY 14th January 2020 HOTEL MARITIM PLAZA , TIRANA - ALBANIA O rganized by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment of Albania in cooperation with the UNWTO SUMMIT ON TOURISM FOR SOLIDARITY AND SUSTAINABILITY The natural disasters creates sometimes humanitarian crisis in which thousand of people are in need of an immediate shelter. The earthquake of 26 November 2019 in Albania, where thousands of people lost their homes and more then 5000 people where accommodated within 24 hours in hotels, is an example that the Tourist Industry is not just to make profit and create income for the country but with its structures it is also a solid and valuable support in handling of humanitarian crisis. This can be a value that through UNWTO all of us should cherish and develop further. Participants are welcomed to address their views on this subject. The earthquake of 26 November 2019 in Albania, left behind a lot of damages in houses, buildings and structures. Luckily enough, the Tourist Industry Structures resisted without damage the earthquake and moreover where able within 24 hours to mobilize their staff and accommodate more then 5000 people in need of a shelter. The experiences faced during this period of time will be part of the discussions from the participants.     THE ROLE OF ALBANIAN INSTITUTIONS IN FIGHTING AGAINST MODERN TERRORISM IN THE AGE OF GLOBALIZATION Ergys Llanaj In the 21st century - terrorism remains a serious threat to national and international security interests. There are dozens of countries that have experienced wild, sporadic stroke of terrorism segments of a country but also terrorism sponsored from different countries. Embodied the state of anarchy in modern life, turning the terrorism into a nightmare, which consists in the abduction of businessmen, the assassination of political leaders, the embassies bombings or aircrafts hijacking. In contrast to the past, today's terrorism has begun to use a new variant of war in terms of technology, victimization, threats and responses. Modern terrorism in the 21st century has new aspects and characteristics different from the terrorism in the past .The aim of this study is to shed light on the complex link of modern terrorism in the age of globalization. What is the role of Albanian institutions in the protection of its critical infrastructure from modern terrorism? This study treats diverse aspects of globalization and diametrically opposite approaches dealing with it in order to understand its complex structure. What will be the new challenge on the root causes of terrorism and the advances in communication technology? Direct relations and causes of terrorism rise in the 21st century will also be discussed, on Albanian common politics as a member of the biggest alliance, NATO on fighting modern terrorism. London, 23 July 2020 Signature: 2 Abstract Global development started nearly seventy years ago, led by global north governments towards the development of the global south, continues to generate heated debates regarding its most effective approaches. These approaches have changed significantly from the initial growth- centered and linear to become more human-centered and context-driven, including a new array of actors from global south governments themselves, to private and third sectors. The latter grew particularly in size and relevance in the early nineties with the fall of communist regimes across Central and Eastern Europe and the economic crisis in Sub - Saharan Africa. At this time international third sector organizations became the main channel of absorbing and implementing bi-lateral funding in the global south. The rise of the third sector has also been accompanied with increased skepticism from both the media and the public regarding its efficiency and effectiveness. Examples include their high administrative costs (as a ratio to their activities) or being donor-led as compared to needs-led. While research and data on international third sector organizations are increasing, very little is known about local third sector organization and their role in development.

Aurora Golemi The history of General Staff is as long as a century General Staff or Supreme Military Staff was established four months after the foundation of the Ministry of War, i.e. on May 4, 1913, in Vlora, with the approval of Vlora Interim Government headed by Ismail Qemal Vlora. Its first name was "Shtati Madhnuer" changed later in "Supreme Staff". The 30-year-old Major Ali Shefqet Shkupi was the first head of Supreme Staff. He had been commander of the Istanbul garrison and answered Ismail Qemal Vlora’s call to become the first Head of the Supreme Staff. Ali Shefqeti was selected for his high spirit of patriotism, the skillful military capabilities and his well-known personality. He was one of the brightest students at the urban school of Thessaloniki, he was distinguished in Kara Harp Okulu (Turkish Military Academy) and, along with Ataturk, his military talent was expressed in war tactics and strategies in the academy. In the general revolt of 1912, the progressive albanian elements in Istanbul were targeted for persecution. Forced by those circumstances, he left Istanbul and arrived in Constanta, Bucharest. In March 1913 he took part in the Congress of Trieste. His arrival in Vlora and his contribute to creating a modern Supreme Staff, at that time, was providential. The establishment of the Ministry of War and the Supreme Staff was being done based on European practices. Headquarters were settled in Vlora, at Ministry of War in Skelë-Vlorë.
