THEY CAN NOT DETECT ANYTHING! PLEASE CHECK OUT THE FOLLOWING SITES FOR MORE INFORMATION: http://explosivedetectorfrauds.blogspot.com/ http://sniffexquestions.blogspot.com/ YOU WILL FIND ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED ON THESE SITES TO ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE APPROACHED TO BUY THIS EQUIPMENT. YOUR LIFE IS AT SERIOUS RISK IF YOU RELY ON THESE PRODUCTS!!! Posted by Peter at 12:12PM (UTC) SUE US PLEASE Thursday, November 20, 2008 Dear Jim McCormick and Gary Bolton, I am calling you liars cheats and thieves for selling the ADE651 and GT200 ranges of so called detectors. I am saying quite openly that these pieces of equipment do not and cannot work to detect anything but gullible or corrupt buyers. I am saying that the fact that neither of you are prepared to have your equipment tested independently, using proper scientific protocols, just proves what conmen you are. So, I am inviting you to sue me. PLEASE! Oh do, I just cannot wait to meet you face to face in Court! It'll be such fun! If you post a reply to this I promise I will publish it, especially if it is Jim with his usual command of the English language and amazingly rational, well constructed arguments! Yeah. Sorry, I am being sarcastic, but what do you expect when dealing with scuzzers who are prepared to put peoples lives at risk with their useless bits of radio aerial attached to plastic! Posted by Peter at 11:16PM (UTC) WANTED FOR FRAUD Friday, November 21, 2008 Some people have suggested that Jim McCormick, Managing Director of Fraud and Cons at ATSC UK may want to remain anonymous with all the grief he is getting from us. On the other hand why would a man who says his ADE651 equipment is so good (even though he won't have it independently tested) want to stay in the shadows. So, for those of you who appreciate beauty and grace I give you a picture of BIG Jim McCormick. A man who is living at the trough of greed and corruption by selling equipment that DOES NOT WORK. I expect he would be more reliable if you wanted to sniff out a good steak and chips than the ADE651 would for finding explosives. Posted by Peter at 12:42PM (UTC) THE FAKE DETECTORS FRAUD - HOW NOT TO BE FOOLED! 7 WHICH LIE? Thursday, November 27, 2008 These fraudsters can really get their knickers in a twist sometimes. I mean, here is a direct quote from the blag, sorry blog, of Mr. Jim McCormick of ATSC: "The equipment does NOT rely on smell and there are MANY 'other-types' of equipment that function on principals other than this alone." That'll be 'principles' Jim! Well, apart from the last bit of the sentence not making much sense (when does he ever!), here's a quote from ProSec in the Lebanon, who sell the ADE (Advanced Dung Equipment) for him: "ADE–651 PORTABLE EXPLOSIVE DETECTOR. This equipment detects traces of both particulates and vapors......". Now, despite appearances to the contrary, I am no Einstein, but blow me down if Jim isn't saying it doesn't work by smell, and Prosec say it does. Shome mishtake shurely? Oh, and just to make sure we really understand, we have this brilliant contradiction as well: Jim, he say: 'electrostatic ion attraction' PROSEC, they say: 'The working principal is based on electrochemical (Thermo-Redox) detection' I say shit, you say shite, let's call the whole thing off! Posted by Peter at 01:06AM (UTC) DETECT THIS MR. BOLTON Wednesday, December 03, 2008 This is what we say to your legal threats. Yes. A nice big juicy raspberry to you! Do you think we take your posturing any more seriously than we take the GT200? Who do you think you are kidding Mr. Bolton? No. We think you would not want to go near a Court of Law in this Country if you can help 8 THE FAKE DETECTORS FRAUD - HOW NOT TO BE FOOLED! it. Too much chance of having to put the old GT200 to a real test, possibly? No I'll lay a pound to a punnet that the GT200 couldn't even sniff one of Jim McCormicks famous farts, let alone my champion raspberry! Ho! Ho! Tell you what though. How about the great ADE651 versus the GT200 challenge. We could program them to find each other. Now that would be fun! Come on Jim and Gary, give it a go, for charity? Posted by Peter at 10:46PM (UTC) SNIFF, SNIFF - WE'RE STILL ON YOUR TAILS! Monday, January 12, 2009 Just so you guys, sorry, for anyone who does not know who I mean please let me introduce three of the finest, sorry, biggest scam artists in the Umited Kingdom: Jim McCormick - Head of the amazing moving company, ATSC Ltd. Records suggest that Jim has changed address for the company at least three times in the past year or so. Hiding from what we wonder? Gary Bolton - Head of Global Technical. Wielder of worthless legal threats. Silent otherwise on the issue. Wonder why when his product is supposedly so damn great? Simon Sherrard - Head of Coms Trac and an as yet unknown quantity, but don't worry Simon, we will get to you. What a fine threesome they make. All so desperate to tell us that their crap works, and yet not willing to take some simple tests to prove it, and thereby become World famous and almost certainly billionaires i.e if they took a straightforward double blind test, which is well recognised as the only valid method, and they won, imagine the impact. You see gents, yes I am talking to you, Fat Jim, Lawman Gary, and Shezza Sherrard, that is why avoiding the Million Dollar Challenge proves you are frauds because you would have nothing at all to fear if you are right, and everything to gain. Whereas, making up ludicrous excuses, such as "standard testing does not work" with your kit, and "it is well tested" without a shred of credible evidence, and "we will be testing in the future", all fail the real GET ON WITH IT TEST or GOWIT.

  • False Statements and Perjury: an Overview of Federal Criminal Law
False Statements and Perjury: An Overview of Federal Criminal Law Charles Doyle Senior Specialist in American Public Law May 11, 2018 Congressional Research Service 7-5700 www.crs.gov 98-808 False Statements and Perjury: An Overview of Federal Criminal Law Summary Federal courts, Congress, and federal agencies rely upon truthful information in order to make informed decisions. Federal law therefore proscribes providing the federal courts, Congress, or federal agencies with false information. The prohibition takes four forms: false statements; perjury in judicial proceedings; perjury in other contexts; and subornation of perjury. Section 1001 of Title 18 of the United States Code, the general false statement statute, outlaws material false statements in matters within the jurisdiction of a federal agency or department. It reaches false statements in federal court and grand jury sessions as well as congressional hearings and administrative matters but not the statements of advocates or parties in court proceedings. Under Section 1001, a statement is a crime if it is false, regardless of whether it is made under oath. In contrast, an oath is the hallmark of the three perjury statutes in Title 18. The oldest, Section 1621, condemns presenting material false statements under oath in federal official proceedings. Section 1623 of the same title prohibits presenting material false statements under oath in federal court proceedings, although it lacks some of Section 1621’s traditional procedural features, such as a two-witness requirement. Subornation of perjury, barred in Section 1622, consists of inducing another to commit perjury. All four sections carry a penalty of imprisonment for not more than five years, although Section 1001 is punishable by imprisonment for not more than eight years when the offense involves terrorism or one of the various federal sex offenses.

One will consider domains where individual behavior presents some stable characteristics over time, and where the individual actions can be observed through events in a data stream. Event patterns will be characterized and used as a proxy to individual behavior and actions. As in many domains, behavior does not remain static but evolves over time; one will therefore consider the sliding window model, making the assumption that behavior is stable during the considered time window. This work will cover the detection of the specific characteristics of the individual and what distinguishes his behavior from that of all other individuals.

Expertise side-lined: science, fraud and bogus molecular detectors in the Mexican ‘War on Drugs’ § Luis Reyes-Galindo** Abstract The paper presents a summarised chronology of the controversy surrounding the use of fraudulent handheld molecular detectors in Mexico, as well as the responses to the controversy from three critical sectors: the Mexican media, the different government branches and national scientific institutions. The paper also includes interview material with the most prominent critics and of the molecular detectors in Mexico and compares the voices of ‘scientific activists’ with the institutional responses. Finally, an analysis of all these different responses to the controversy is made, along with a short discussion of the relevance for expertise studies, as well as a critique of the application of existing expertise frameworks in developing country contexts such as Mexico’s. A brief history of molecular detectors Since the early 1990s, several devices marketed as handheld molecular detectors or using similar monikers began to be marketed in the police, security, rescue and military equipment market around the world. In 1993, after warnings from several law enforcement agents who had documented the widespread use of these seemingly miraculous apparatuses which were in fact nothing more than dowsing rods marketed under a veil of pseudoscientific jargon, the US government indicted the manufacturers of the earliest MD models – known as the Quadro Tracker – and subsequently banned their sale in the USA. Three years later the

  • Auction Fraud Detection Using SVM-Based Supervised Learning
AUCTION SHILL DETECTION FRAMEWORK BASED ON SVM A Thesis Submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements For the Degree of Master of Science in Computer Science University of Regina By Swati Ganguly Regina, Saskatchewan December, 2016 Copyright 2016: Swati Ganguly UNIVERSITY OF REGINA FACULTY OF GRADUATE STUDIES AND RESEARCH SUPERVISORY AND EXAMINING COMMITTEE Swati Ganguly, candidate for the degree of Master of Science in Computer Science, has presented a thesis titled, Auction Shill Detection Framework Based on SWM, in an oral examination held on December 9, 2016. The following committee members have found the thesis acceptable in form and content, and that the candidate demonstrated satisfactory knowledge of the subject material. External Examiner: Dr. Eman Almehdawe, Faculty of Business Administration Supervisor: Dr. Samira Sadaoui, Department of Computer Science Committee Member: Dr. Malek Mouhoub, Department of Computer Science Committee Member: Dr. Lisa Fan, Department of Computer Science Chair of Defense: Dr. Yang Zhao, Department of Mathematcis and Statistics ABSTRACT Online auctioning has attracted serious in-auction fraud, such as shill bidding, given the huge amount of money involved and the anonymity of users. Due to the fact that shill bidding is difficult to detect as well as to prove, very few researchers have been successful in designing online shill detection systems that can be adopted by auction sites. We introduce an efficient SVM-based two-phased In-Auction Fraud Detection (IAFD) model. This supervised model is first trained offline for identifying ‘Normal’ and ‘Suspicious’ bidders. For this process, we identify a collection of the most relevant fraud classification features rather than uncertain or general features, like feedback ratings.
