PUBLIC NOTICE

The County of (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014 (Amendment Order No. , 201’) East Street, and Marsh Barn Road (known locally as), West Bay – Restriction of Waiting and Clearway Order

Dorset County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) to (3) and 124(1)(d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act of 1984’) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) ( and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations.

The effect of the Order will be to:

1. Introduce a short length of no loading and unloading restriction between 10.30am and 4.30pm on East Street, Bridport near its junction with South Street.

2. Revoke the existing ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction on Marsh Barn Road (known locally as), West Bay and introduce a clearway.

Full details of this proposal is contained in the Draft Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of the County Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-

Main Reception, , County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, and Bridport Town Council, Rax Lane, Bridport.

Should you wish to make any observations on this proposal (whether you support or object to the proposal) you should make them in writing to Regulation Team (2026/1/98), Dorset Highways, Dorset County Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ by 26 January 2018. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Responses will be open for public inspection.
