On the following pages, you will find helpful information about this election. Also included is a Sample Ballot that you can use as a tool to assist you in your voting process. Simply pre-mark your selections on the Sample Ballot and take it along with you when voting at the polls. In addition, I encourage you to: • Apply for a Mail Ballot! Vote by Mail: To vote by mail, you must be a permanent mail ballot voter, or request a mail ballot for this election only. • The deadline to apply for a mail ballot is Tuesday, October 28, 2014. • Mail ballots will be mailed beginning Friday, October 10, 2014. • Voted mail ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day. • Return voted mail ballots by: o Mail via the U.S. Postal Service by Wednesday, October 29, 2014. o Drop off at any San Bernardino County mail ballot drop-off location, Monday, October 13 through Tuesday, November 4, 2014. o Deliver to any San Bernardino County polling place on Election Day. • Visit www.sbcountyelections.com for drop-off locations. 2. Results will be released at 8:05 p.m., 10 p.m., and every two hours, on the hour, after that until counting is completed. Results will be released to the media and will be posted on the Elections Office website at www.sbcountyelections.com. OPTIONS N SB 001-008 What’s On Your Ballot? In the 2014 Statewide General Election, all voters will receive a two-card Official Ballot that is customized for each voting precinct.
