The great ease of maize genetics stems largely from the vigor of the plant, its numerous morpho- logical types, its abundant seed set from easily separated gametophytic lineages, and the collections of fascinating mutants detected and used by Native American and immigrant farmers over the last several thousand years. -

P. 50, 57 rue Cuvier, F-75231 Paris cedex 05 <[email protected]> Résumé. – Dix-huit genres de Pyralidae (Pyralinae) sont étudiés, dont six sont nouvellement décrits. Cinquante et une espèces sont étudiées, avec la description de vingt et une nouvelles. Six nouvelles synonymies et vingt-deux nouvelles combinaisons sont établies. Episindris Ragonot, 1891, n. stat., est réhabilité au rang de genre distinct, Episindris albimaculalis Ragonot, 1891, étant replacé dans son genre initial. Abstract. – New species and genera of Pyralinae (Lepidoptera, Pyraloidea, Pyralidae). Eighteen genera of Pyralidae (Pyralinae) are studied, of which six are described as new: Mabokia n. gen., Cassouodes n. gen., Lantzina n. gen., Barbutodes n. gen, Lantzodes n. gen. and Nussodes n. gen. Fifty-one species are studied, including the description of twenty-one species new for science: Maradana modestalis n. sp., Maradana yapoensis n. sp., Mabokia delicatalis n. sp., Mabokia boudinotalis n. sp, Nussodes nimbaensis n. sp., Nussodes abidjanalis n. sp., Epacternis bicoloralis n. sp. Goateria adelinae n. sp., Goateria bourgoinalis n. sp., Goateria ambralis n. sp., Zitha ouvrardi n. sp., Zitha andoboalis n. sp., Zitha gracilalis n. sp., Sindris rogueti n. sp., Haplosindris gabonensis n. sp., Lantzina hodeberti n. sp., Lantzina rufalis n. sp., Barbutodes lantzi n. sp., Lantzodes lantoalis n. sp., Lantzodes subpurpuralis n. sp., Lantzodes nienokonealis n. sp.
