Ok this one is a little more involved but worth asking some questions. Your institution purchases Microsoft software thru what we call LAR’s (large account resellers). Ask your IT leader if they have heard about the Microsoft Student Select program. If not haven’t tell them to work with their reseller or one of the partners below to get this up and running. Once the agreement is in place the students, faculty and staff in your organization can purchase; for example Professional for ~$70ish. This is the full product that would cost ~$600ish at Best Buy. This is for home use and personal use, your institution may have some type of ―Work at Home‖ rights but this is different. You buy it you own it.
