Welcome to the Malmö Event Program. Take a look and plan your days. Welcome to Malmö! Together with Copenhagen, Malmö is proud to be hosting the world’s biggest LGBTQIA+ event this year, WorldPride, which includes EuroGames, a Human Rights summit on LGBTQIA+ refugees, borders and migration, and an extensive Arts & Culture programme! We have had the pleasure of curating an 11-day programme featuring contributors from across the globe - we would love you to join us (IRL or online) at any number of the 200+ diverse and thought-provoking events that will be staged at venues across Malmö. A major focal point will be WorldPride House at Malmö Live, with discussions, seminars, debates and talks from people with lived LGBTQIA+ experiences, with the international summit on immigration, borders, and refugees, taking centre stage. Not to be missed, will be the sporting events as part of EuroGames, Youth Pride, WorldPride Park, queer theatre and live performances and Sweden’s biggest ever queer film festival, and not to forget the parties and of course the Opening Parade. Throughout the Covid 19 pandemic, the LGBTQIA+ community all over the world has Malmö been severely impacted, so we believe that now more than ever, it is important that we (metaphorically) hold hands and stand together as a community. We are immensely proud to live in a country that has come so far. However, we still have a long way to go so we will fight for those who need our support, we will march for those who can’t, and we will be visible for those who feel invisible. We stand together in solidarity, love, and friendship, including the whole global LGBTQIA+ community in this WorldPride. We hope you enjoy your time with us during WorldPride and EuroGames 2021. Yours sincerely, The Malmö Pride board Main official Sponsor Institutional partner supporter #YouAreSafe #YouAreSafe Tillsammans har vi tagit fram en vision för ett tryggt och säkert Together we created a vision about a safe and secure WorldPride WorldPride i Malmö.

Preliminary Overview of City Measures to Mitigate the Socio- Economic Impact of COVID-19

Preliminary overview of city measures to mitigate the socio- economic impact of COVID-19 Policy note 4 May 2020 Cities are on the frontline of managing the COVID-19 crisis. They are dealing with the immediate consequences of the crisis. Many cities have adapted their services in quick, effective, and innovative ways to respond to the emergency. As we are moving past the emergency stage of this crisis, many cities are pro-actively setting out measures to mitigate the social and economic effects of the COVID-19 crisis on people, jobs, businesses, the local economy and equality and inclusion in cities. EUROCITIES has compiled a preliminary overview of policy responses that cities have recently adopted to mitigate the socio-economic effects of the COVID-19 crisis in the short, medium and long-term. This document builds on an existing collection of economic measures on subnational level assembled in the Economic Bulletin N°3 of the European Committee of the Regions. It also brings together examples from about 50 cities that were published on cities’ websites, and on our EUROCITIES web platform www.covidnews.eurocities.eu. In a nutshell, the most common mitigating measures in cities are: • providing financial aid to local businesses and people most affected by COVID-19 crisis • improving the conditions and access to loans for businesses • pausing rent payments • introducing flexibility and exemption of tax and fee payments • compensating businesses having contracts with the municipality • compensating for damages • involving private donors

PRESS HANDBOOK Eurovision Choir 2019 Press, Delegation & Production Handbook DISTRIBUTION: Press, Delegations, Production Dear friends, It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the second edition of Eurovision Choir, here in Gothenburg. Those of us who were fortunate enough to be involved in the production during Latvian Television’s first edition in Riga hold many fond memories of launching Eurovision’s newest competition format. The show was spectacular, the choirs stunning and the music sublime. But what remains most strongly in my memory is the unique atmosphere of the backstage area around the show. I recall a festive atmosphere, almost a party, as nine choirs traded songs across the dressing room walls. And indeed, this is a festival – a festival of the beauty and diversity of choral singing in Europe, and of what can be achieved by joining our voices. So it seems true – singing is good for the soul. Thanks to those of you who have made the journey to attend Eurovision Choir 2019 in Gothenburg.

Nyckelord: Melodifestivalen, schlager, genusvetenskap, homokultur, gaystudier, bögkultur, heteronormativitet. Innehållsförteckning 1. En älskad och hatad ”homofilfestival” 1
