Please contact the office with questions or comments. In accordance with policy, parents and students must acknowledge receipt of the Student Code of Conduct and the consequences to students who violate district disciplinary policies. Parents objecting to the release of directory information on their student should notify the office within (10) days of receipt of the student handbook. Parents must also give their signed and dated written permission for the district to release personally identifiable information. PREFACE The material covered within this student handbook is intended as a method of communicating to students and parents regarding general district information, rules and procedures and is not intended to either enlarge or diminish any Board policy, administrative regulation or collective bargaining agreement. Material contained herein may therefore be superseded by such Board policy, administrative regulation or collective bargaining agreement. Students will only be released by coaches/advisers to their parents or approved guardian. Parents may fill out a release form in advance, but the school still needs a verbal release before the event occurs. ADMISSION A student seeking enrollment in the district for the first time must meet all academic, age, immunization, tuition and other eligibility prerequisites for admission as set forth in state law, board policy and administrative regulations. Students and their parents should contact the office for admission requirements. The district may deny regular school admission to a student who is expelled from another school district and who subsequently becomes a resident of the district or who applies for admission to the district as a nonresident student. The district shall deny regular school admission to a student who is expelled from another school district for an offense that constitutes a violation of applicable state or federal weapons law and who subsequently becomes a resident of the district or who applies for admission to the district as a nonresident student. Alternative educational services will not be provided to students expelled from another school district for violation of applicable state or federal weapons law and who subsequently becomes a resident of the district. ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAMS Alternative education program options have been established and approved by the Board to meet the individual needs of students. These programs will be made available to students who are unable to succeed in the regular programs because of erratic attendance or behavioral problems; for students who have not met or who have exceeded all of Oregon’s academic content standards; when necessary to meet a student’s educational needs and interests; to assists students in achieving district and state academic content standards; or when a public or private alternative program is not otherwise readily

Audience Attendance Trends 4 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to describe factors that affect patron attendance at University of Oregon University Theatre (UT) productions. The study included a partial literature review of effective marketing and communications trends in theatre in the United States during the past ten years (1992-2002). The study implemented a focus group of non-alumni UT patrons from the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon zip code area who seldom (two to three times) or rarely (once) attended UT productions in the past two to three theatre seasons.
