The Cleobury Clarion SERVING CLEOBURY COUNTRY June 2018 NEW FACE AT THE TOP CLEOBURY ON SHOW Last summer the town put on a new event, designed to show off some of the talents and traditions of the place. It was a brave idea, with some doubts about its feasibility, and it worked. The town buzzed with people finding places previously overlooked, talents they knew little or nothing about. It was something of an awakening. This year it carries a new title, the Cleobury Festival, and plans have been worked on from long before the event, which will happen on Saturday the 23rd, with most of the attractions open from 11.00 in the morning. The exception is Mawley Town Farm, where the gates open at 12.00 noon and a bus will carry visitors to and from the town centre up to 2.45. Like all big events, some of the details won’t be agreed until late in the preparation. So our guide on Page 57 is just that, a guide and not a full plan because not everything was known when we went to press.
