PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES 2 Popcap and EA have released the hotly anticipated follow-up to Plants vs. Zombies ahead of it’s planned late-July date, but only to people based in Australia and New Zealand. The staged release, producer Allen Murray explained, is to ensure it’s actually ready for prime time, ahead of it’s launch in the larger US and European territories.

“We want to have at least a four-week testing period,” Murray explained, “so that we can get the game out there, check how our systems are functioning, check how people are using it, and be able to make one or two patches to adjust if needed — and then check to make sure everything’s stable before rolling it out.”

A free to play universal app for iOS devices, Plants vs. Zombies 2 requires a minimum of iPhone 4, iPad 2, or fourth generation iPod Touch, iOS 5.1 or higher, and is a 42.9 MB download. DIGGS NIGHTCRAWLER PS 3

If you haven’t used the Wonderbook before, here’s a really really quick recap:

It’s an experience that combines your PS3, TV, the PlayStation Eye, a Move controller, and a physical book with special graphics printed on it to create an augmented reality experience that really has no peers. You sit in front of the TV and flip through the book; you are then shown on the TV (along with the book and your living room), and extra things are added as if they’re coming out of the pages of the book.

The second title to be released for Wonderbook is Diggs Nightcrawler. It looks like a cartoon adventure, and features nursery rhyme characters such as Itsy Bitsy spider, the Three Little Pigs, and Mother Goose, amongst others.

Diggs himself is an inchworm in a trench coat. He’s a private detective, thrust onto the case to try and work out who has bumped off his friend. (Humpty Dumpty, off a wall. He had a great fall, apparently.) Diggs has been framed for the murder of Humpty, so with the pigs on his tail (literally), he’ll need your help to find the pieces of shell scattered around the surrounding area, so that he can FINAL FANTASY X HD LIMITED EDITION help put Humpty together again . . . and clear his own name, of course.
