This morning a lark sang in a tall treetop. It's pure, coloratura melody rose and fell in sweet cadence to the still starlit sky, heralding the dawn.

My soul, listening, soared to join the lark-song in exultation. In thanks to God for all created beauty. For life, love, and a heart to understand.

We sang, the lark and I, until the rising sun blushed the heavens a fiery red and gold, ushering in a new day and blossoming Spring.

WHY NOT YOU?

The proposed, long planned-for unification of Europe—target date 1992—is in direct line with Revel- ation 17:13: "These have one mind." Professor George McCready Price in his book Time of the End, referring to Daniel 2:43 states on page 36: "This fragmentation policy, . . . becomes reversed; and for one brief prophetic hour 'the restraint which has been upon the wicked is removed, and Satan has entire control of the finally impenitent.'— The Great Controversy, p 614."

Dr Otto Von Habsburg, a member of the European Parliament and son of the last Empress of Austria, has also addressed the relevance of the Holy Roman Empire to the unification process presently underway in the European Community.

More than once Pope John Paul II has expressed his deep desire for a "Europe, united spiritually from the Atlantic to the Urals."

All these statements tell us clearly that we are eye witnesses of most remarkable developments that can be directly related to the prophetic word of the Holy Scriptures. Time is running out fast. This is not a time to retire. Inspite of the fact that some of us retire from employed service, we still need to be engaged in proclaiming the Lord's imminent return.
