From historic river neighborhoods to ethnic centers, our communities are rich in diversity and teeming with culture. Whether it’s wandering around the Mill City Museum ruins, visiting a local park or lake, admiring the lovely historic estates along Summit Avenue, or figuring out for yourself who has the best Juicy Lucy burger, the Twin Cities have something to offer every visitor. All the destinations highlighted here are easily accessible by transit from the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, your home for the duration of the conference. We’ve designed the tours in such a way that each “explore” map has at least 10 things to see and do within a walkable area and can be completed in about two hours. The truth is we’re fine dining, craft brew drinking, museum visiting, music loving, theatre watching, year-round biking, cabin going folks who take great pride in all four seasons and love our lake time. We also love to take advantage of having no sales tax on clothing in Minnesota, with one of the largest malls in the country located in our backyard. The Twin Cities are much more than quiet Midwestern towns, they are in the middle of a reurbanization and offer a healthy balance of a cosmopolitan and friendly neighborhood vibes. Minneapolis and Saint Paul have rich histories and offer lively, vibrant social scenes filled with endless activities for both locals and visitors.
