FLASHES OF CREATIVITY Where would we be! A friend is like a flower, a rose to be exact Or may be like an oak that stands long and firm A friend is like a swan, both beautiful and wise Or perhaps like a star whose shine never fades A friend is like a heart that goes strong until the end Where would we be in the world if we didn’t have a friend! II/IV EEE Why Worry? FLASHES OF CREATIVITYAbhinav, No one is born perfect. We falter frequently during our growth. Through faults and failures, we become stronger and better. People, however great, begin their life as small innocent children. Small achievements which go unnoticed lead to greater successes. Weren’t the present tennis and cricket superstars once small kids handling the ball and the bat in a faulty way? Whoever knew they would ever become so great! At dawn the sun is warm, but doesn’t he grow hotter and hotter by noon? Let us not underrate ourselves. We have several talents hidden in us. Let us give them a free play. Let us not shy away. There may be set-backs now and then, but let us not allow them to bother us. We should always be positive in our attitude, sweeping off all the negative feelings and emotions. This, I think, is the right approach to a happy living. S. Ravi Teja, II/IV ECE Harmonious Living In recent years, there has been a tremendous spurt in technology. Along with it is seen a corresponding growth in crime and violence. Recent globalization has worsened this situation. The cross currents of civilizations are leading to confrontations making the world a dangerous place to live in. The root cause of many of our problems is lack of character. What is character? It is not just a set of principles. Whatever contributes to friendly feelings and harmonious living is character. A small blot in character spoils the whole thing. So let us zealously guard our character. Whatever amount of comfortable living we still have is the result of our elders’ efforts. We should strive to make our country the second sun in the universe radiating his light and energy all around. Hari Santosh, II/IV EEE MERIT AWARDS - 2009 Venkata Ramana Charitable Trust gave merit awards which were presented by District Collector B. Ramanjaneyulu to 40 students who topped in the I B.Tech University Examinations of Tirumala Engineering College in all of its four branches.
