GATORADE PLAYERS OF THE YEAR • Two freshmen, Ben Erkens and Brandon Parrish, earned the 2019-20 Gatorade Boys Soccer Player of the Year awards for their respective home state. • South Carolina -- Erkens scored 12 goals during the 2020 season and brought his prep career total to 47 goals and 61 assists. Erkens is a graduate of Wade Hampton HS. • Tennessee -- Parrish has scored 68 goals and contribut- ed 40 assists during his prep career.
