All Patrol Captains and patrolling members should refer to the Club Patrol Service Contracts (as displayed by their club) for specific details of patrol times within their area of operations.     NOTICE MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (Moreton Bay)- WHITE SPOT SYNDROME VIRUS Pursuant to section 124 of th e Biosecurity Act 201 4 (th e Act), I make the followin g movement control ord er: 1. Why th is movement control order is being made and what it is intended to achieve This movement control order is being made to assist in the management and control of white spot syndrome virus, the causative agent of white spot disease by restricting the movement of certain white spot syndrome virus carriers and allowing control measures for this purpose. White spot syndrome virus, as the causative agent of white spot disease (where white spot disease is prohibited matter under schedule 1 of the Act), has been detected in seven aquaculture premises at Alberton and Woongoolba, the Logan River, an area south of the Logan River in Moreton Bay and in Deception Bay and off the Redcliffe Peninsula in Moreton Bay. The virus is highly contagious and could spread rapidly if not contained. This virus is the causative agent of white spot disease, a devastating disease of decapod crustaceans and is exotic to Australia. lt is a large DNA virus assigned as the only member of the genus Whispovirus (family Nimaviridae). In farmed prawns, white spot disease kills 100% of prawns within a few days. The disease attacks multiple systems in the prawns including the gills and this inhibits their ability to take up oxygen resulting in suffocation . Evidence from overseas outbreaks indicates that the incubation period for white spot syndrome virus in farmed prawn populations could be up to 40 to 45 days.

    Volume 17, Number 1 69 Towards a Multi-Faith History of the Sunshine Coast Ray Kerkhove University of Queensland 1. Introduction: Multi-faith Local Studies? Australian religious histories normally document one or two faiths. Thus we have, for example, Purushottama Bilimoria's (1996) The Hindus and Sikhs in Australia and Hilary Carey's (1996) treatise of Australian Christian history - Believing in Australia. In Local Studies, this tendency is especially pronounced. The scope of local religious history is often restricted to the travails of particular church or temple communities. This paper is thus unusual. It attempts a multi-faith history of a region: Queensland's Sunshine Coast. 1 To develop such an account, we will need to identify the overall patterns - the historical phases - of interaction between local faiths rather than concentrate on developments within specific faiths. We will also need to tell this 'story' in whatever way multi-faith dialogue expresses itself in this region. As is the case for much of the world, multi-faith dialogue (or lack thereof) is often most evident at spiritual centres.- religious retreats, church complexes, temples, and ceremonial grounds. Such foci of religious activity tend to be bastions of particular faith traditions, yet their rise and fall, and modifications to their function and style in different eras map out the tides of change. Equally, local arts- the cultural manifestations of local spiritual beliefs in art, music, architecture and literature - provide an excellent gauge of a community's stance on other faiths.
