2020/2021 CALLING ALL GREEN THUMBS! MEMBERSHIP TO THE NEWTOWN SENIOR CENTER IS DUE!

Membership is open to anyone 55 years of age and up. Your membership entitles you to participate in our programs and activities and to receive all communications from the Senior Center, including our weekly e-news blast and monthly newsletters. Treadwell Pool & Eichler’s Cove Beach Membership Information: Membership: Combination Pass that permits entry to Treadwell Town Park Pool and Eichler’s Cove Beach. CASH will NOT be collected at the pool/beach gate. Residency Defined: A person whose primary residence, either as an owner or a renter, is in Newtown, is considered a Newtown resident. (No exception to this rule.) Proof of residency may be required. For Online Purchases: Please make sure to select EACH family member you'd like to receive a pass for, and to have information up to date. How will I get my pass(s) if purchased online: If purchased online, we will mail your pool/beach passes within five (5) business days. Make sure your household information is up to date. Membership cards must be shown to gain admittance to Treadwell Pool and Eichler’s Cove Beach. Multiple families living in one household must pay per family. Proof of household address is required for all members 18 years and older. Family Pool Pass Receipts WILL NOT be accepted at the gate after (5) business dates from date of purchase, as you will receive your membership cards in the mail.

Senior Citizens (Residents 60 & over): Just bring in Daily Passes/Day Passes: Unused Daily Passes (6 visit proof of residency and your car registration; we will issue pass) do not expire from year to year. The daily pass includes you a pass and a parking permit. six (6) individual visits. (One visit per person, per day) and may be purchased online prior to visiting the facility. GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION IN OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AT THE NEWTOWN SENIOR CENTER

All participation in outdoor programs is voluntary. Current membership to the Newtown Senior Center and the completion of the 2020/2021 membership form is required for participation. Programs will not exceed 10 participants. Group size will be determined by Senior Center staff based on safety precautions. Members are encouraged to utilize hand sanitizer before and after participation. Members must comply with spacing configurations laid out by staff for each program, and ensure a 6 feet distance is maintained from members, staff, and instructors at all times. Members must wear a face covering when going to and from program locations. Members should refrain from convening before or after attending a program. Members must pre-register for each event. There will be no shared equipment in any program. The Senior Center building remains closed to the public at this time. No member will be granted access into the building for any reason. If a member needs to utilize the restroom while attending a program they are to use the restrooms located on the left side of the building, accessible from the outdoors. If a member is found to have COVID 19, or develops symptoms suggestive of COVID 19 within 48 hours of being outside the facility they must notify the Senior Center immediately.

If you do not feel well do not participate in any programming, stay home and contact your healthcare professional.

Temperatures may be hot during the summer months. For any program involving movement, members are encouraged to have a towel and an adequate supply of water to stay hydrated at all times.

The Newtown Senior Center recognizes the potential benefits of outdoor programming for the physical and mental wellbeing of our members. If a member is unable to follow the guidelines above they will not be able to continue to participate so the safety of others is not compromised. If a member does not feel ready to participate in an organized program, they should feel free to abstain and wait - we will welcome you when you are ready. VIRTUAL TOURS
