Lions on the Prowl Student

By: Amanda Roper Entertainment Editor Athletes of The Jack Yates Lions have heart, drive, and courage and are ready to show the rest of the world just how much. They are striving to surpass their 2009-2010 the Month season and make it further than the sec- ond round of the playoffs.

In order to accomplish this goal, the team has to work hard on and off the field. Running backs coach and U.S.

Government instructor, Ronald Hooker understands just that.

“We want to start off in the classroom and be sure they pass all of their classes,” stated Coach Hooker. “We want to make sure all the seniors get into college and overall we want to make them productive citizens.”
