Learn what’s ahead at our open house on April 17 Join us for an open house to learn more about construction for the next phase of the SR 520 Program, known as the Montlake Phase. SR 520 staff and partner agencies will be available during the open house to discuss what’s coming up and answer your questions.

Construction of the Montlake Phase is expected to begin in late 2018. The project will build:

• A new Montlake lid and interchange • A new pedestrian and bicycle land bridge over SR 520 • A new West Approach Bridge South to carry eastbound traffic from Montlake to the floating bridge • New transit/HOV ramps to and from the Montlake lid

We’ll also look ahead to future phases of the SR 520 Program in , including construction of a new Bridge, I-5 connections, and a second bascule bridge over the Montlake Cut.

Date: April 17, 2018 Time: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. om: Conceptual rendering of future Montlake lid. : Montlake Community Center 1618 E. Calhoun St., Seattle, WA 98112

During the open house, you’ll be able to test drive a draft website tool we’re creating to provide information about SR 520 construction. This online tool – we’re calling it the SR 520 Construction Corner – will be a one-stop shop for learning about current or upcoming SR 520 construction activities, their expected effects in the community, and the regulations and practices we follow to limit the impacts of our work. Following the tool’s open-house demonstration, we plan to enlist volunteers in the community to help us beta test the site; we want to make sure it provides useful information in an easy, accessible way. We’ll have more to share about test recruitment in the near future. We’ll launch the Construction Corner tool prior to start of Montlake Phase construction later this year.
