Abstract: In this article, the author analyses the overlap between the religious and the diplomatic/political aspects in the practice of celebrating masses for the homeland. The purpose of this article is to establish to what extent the diplo- matic and political component is present in this practice, and how the homeland mass practice is understood in the Slovenian political context. For this purpose, the author analyses two aspects: the structure of masses for the homeland and the presence of diplomatic and political elements in the ceremony, and the -at titude of young people towards the practice. The latter is relevant particularly because young people will become political decision makers in a few years. Their current views will then be reflected in the positions of their political parties. Key words: mass for the homeland, politics, diplomacy, music, cooperation betwe- en Church and state Povzetek: V članku avtor analiza presek med versko in diplomatsko-politično raz- sežnostjo maše za domovino.

Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu (born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, 26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997), commonly known as Mother Teresa and honoured in the Roman Catholic Church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, was an Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun and missionary. [8] She was born in Skopje (now the capital of North Macedonia), then part of the Koso- vo Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire. After living in Skopje for eighteen years, she moved to Ireland and then to India, where she lived for most of her life. In 1950, Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congre- gation that had over 4,500 nuns and was active in 133 countries in 2012. The congre- gation manages homes for people who are dying of HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis. It also runs soup kitchens, dispensaries, mobile clinics, children’s and family counselling programmes, as well as orphanages and schools. Members take vows of chastity, pover- ty, and obedience, and also profess a fourth vow—to give “wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor.” Teresa received a number of honours, including the 1962 Ramon Magsaysay Peace Prize and 1979 Nobel Peace Prize.

  • Women Religious History Sources: a Digital Guide to Repositories in North America
WOMEN RELIGIOUS HISTORY SOURCES: A DIGITAL GUIDE TO REPOSITORIES IN NORTH AMERICA Fourth Edition December 2019 FOREWORD AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS This initiative intends to provide scholars with an update to the last comprehensive resource on Women Religious Archives, Women Religious History Sources: A Guide to Repositories in the United States, edited by Evangeline Thomas, CSJ, and published in 1983. In the Fate of Religious Orders Archives Conference, held at Catholic University on March 29, 2017, Prof. Carol K. Coburn of Avila University noted the importance of the 1983 resource to scholars to this day in conducting research. She challenged and encouraged archivists to return to the project by compiling a revised edition and members of the ACWR board in attendance felt this directly aligned with our organization's mission. The Catholic Research Resource Alliance (CRRA) has graciously offered us a digital platform to share this resource with scholars, teachers, and the public at large. Scholars, please note that the geographical location of the archives listed in the directory does not necessarily limit its scope to that city and/or state. Inquire about the full scope of the collection utilizing the Contact information field in the directory entries. This directory will be updated regularly as submissions are received. If your community collection is currently not included in this edition, please consider filling out the template below and return the completed information to the ACWR National Office at [email protected]. In introducing the Catholic Directory, it is our pleasing duty to reiterate our grateful thanks for the valuable assistance and in formation received from the Prelates and the Superiors of the Missions mentioned in this book. The compilation of the Catholic Direct ory involves no small amount of labour, which, however, we believe is not spent in vain, for the Directory seems to be of great use to many working in the same field. But We would like to see the Directory develop into a still more useful publication and rendered acceptable to a wider circle. This can only come about with the practical "sympathy and active co-operation of all ^ friends and well-wishers. Studia z Dziejów Rosji i Europy Ś rodkowo-Wschodniej ■ LII-SI(2) Konrad Sebastian Morawski Oleszyce–Rzeszów Gabriele D’Annunzio’s Coup in Rijeka (1919–1920) in the Context of Italian-Yugoslavian Relations Zarys treści: Artykuł zawiera omówienie przewrotu dokonanego przez Gabriele D’Annunzia w Rijece i sprawowaniu przez niego władzy w tym mieście w latach 1919–1920.
