The real Day 3 riches lie outdoors in the mountains with superb carving on Corviglia, hairy black runs on Diavolezza and miles of hiking trails when the snow melts. The vacation destination is a car-free zone, has preserved its original character and offers nearly unlimited possibilities as far as excursions are concerned. Check in at the hotel and rest of the day free. Do enjoy the town of Zermatt - The town, at an elevation of around 1,600m, lies below the iconic, pyramid-shaped Matterhorn peak. Its main street, Bahnhofstrasse is lined with boutique shops, hotels and restaurants, and also has a lively après-ski scene. There are public outdoor rinks for ice-skating and curling. www.thomascook.in The Matterhorn - mystical, majestic, the mountain of mountains. No one can escape its fascination. Neither locals nor guests. Triangular. A cragged rock "tooth" ranging into the heavens. Standing alone on the horizon. A magnet for alpinists, aesthetic emblem, mountain with ideal proportions. Rugged rock with magical light. At 4,478 metres, the majestic Matterhorn - certainly the most famous mountain in Europe - looms over the breathtaking Alpine panorama. Day 5 This Switzerland landmark is at the border of the western Swiss canton of Valais between Zermatt and the Italian resort of Breuil-Cervinia, and offers a paradise for all nature-lovers looking for peace and quiet. Its symmetric pyramid shape, the rocky tooth reaching the sky and the light reflections of the nearby Stellisee make the Matterhorn's landscape a unique natural spectacle in Zermatt. OR Incase there are senior citizens and guest having problem with high altitude - then we can recommend The Gornergrat (3,089 m) which is one of those places that everyone should visit at least once in a lifetime. The mountain panorama and the glorious view of the Matterhorn are unforgettable. With its sunny observation platform accessible all year, the Gornergrat, at an altitude of 3,089 m, has been one of Switzerland's top excursion destinations since 1898. The Gornergrat Bahn was the world's first fully electrified cog railway. Today it is a modern, eco-friendly railway, equipped with a regenerative braking system that generates electricity on the descent and so saves energy. Breakfast at the hotel and then you will make your way to another beautiful Swiss Region - Montreux. Check in at the hotel and later witness one of the Circular restroom window with the most beautiful view.
