Peak Walk by Tissot"
Press Release Gstaad 3000 AG Adventurous Peak Experience on the "Peak Walk by Tissot" Les Diablerets, October 24, 2014. At Glacier 3000, the first suspension bridge in the world to connect two peaks was inaugurated. Glacier 3000 has another new and spectacular attraction. Amidst numerous media representatives and guests, the suspension bridge "Peak Walk by Tissot“ was formally opened on Friday. It’s the first and until now only suspension bridge in the world that connects two peaks with one another. The project cost 1.8 million Swiss francs. Marcel Bach, Gstaad 3000 AG Chairman of the Board of Directors and Bernard Tschannen, CEO Glacier 3000, are convinced that investing in such an extraordinary project will do a lot to demonstrate the development of tourism in the Swiss Alps. At the press conference at Restaurant Botta, Bernhard Seiler, chief engineer of the bridge, gave an overview of the bridge construction. Afterwards the "Peak Walk by Tissot“ was ceremoniously inaugurated by the extreme athlete and coach Mike Horn. What better person to test the bridge than Mike Horn, adventurer and one who has sailed around the world? „As an explorer, I go places not only to see new surroundings, but to live new experiences”, states Mike Horn. He was happy to personally inaugurate the new bridge and added, “All humans have an adventurous spirit. Eyes that travel see more. Nature inspires, it wakes our inner soul, it answers questions and has the power to enrich.” Glacier 3000 offers an impressive and easy to reach peak adventure for everyone. „The 107- meter long bridge, which connects the View Point with Scex Rouge, is a unique addition to our destination“, says Bernhard Tschannen.
