  • Disneyland Paris Review by Joan Finder
Disneyland Paris Review By Joan Finder It’s a Magical Morning and I am walking down Main Street USA! Yes, there is City Hall and the Emporium, but why does the hat shop say Chapeaux? Oh well, straight ahead, there it is…. The castle! But somehow it seems a brighter pink and a bit taller. And now the counter service cast member is handing me…. a croque monsieur and café au lait? This IS Disneyland, isn’t it? Yes, it must be—because there he is: Mickey Mouse himself with his wide grin, saying … “Bon Jour”?!? Is this a dream? No, it’s a dream-come-true! I am an American in Paris—Disneyland Paris! I never thought it was possible that a park could be even more beautiful than Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, or Walt’s original Disneyland CA, but Disneyland Paris achieves it. The details and the colors are just breathtaking, especially the pinks and blues reminiscent of the Impressionist Art for which Paris is known. Walking up MainStreet USA, which feels comfortingly familiar and yet teasingly strange at the same time, the castle doesn't appear much different than the Walt Disney World castle, until you walk around to the side and see the huge hill, boxed trees, waterfalls and lawns leading up to it. Plus, it even has a sleeping dragon in the cave below who wakes and breathes smoke! And if you go up the stairs, you can read the story of La Belle Au Bois Dormant , in French, of course, or just follow the tale of the Sleeping Beauty through a series of shining stained glass windows and elegant tapestries.

Barsley was accused of abusing Benjamin Cook, Drum-Major in the marines, and striking John West, a drummer in the marines. It was alleged Hill had stolen bread valued at twopence, while Cole was charged with stealing two deal planks valued at ten pence. The men appeared before the Court of Criminal Judicature, the bench being made up of Judge-Advocate Collins and a number of naval and military officers - Captains Hunter, Meredith and Shea, and Lieutenants Ball, Bradley and Creswell.1,2 However, the first criminal prosecutions to take place on what is now Australian soil actually occurred in more dramatic circumstances in 1629.

Carnival Corporation & plc Orders New 68,500-Ton Cruise Ship for AIDA Cruises Brand July 13, 2005 Third New 2,030-Passenger Vessel to Serve the Rapidly Expanding German Cruise Market Beginning in Spring 2008 MIAMI, July 13, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE: CCL; LSE) (NYSE: CUK) has ordered a 68,500-ton cruise ship for its AIDA Cruises brand, which caters exclusively to the German-speaking market, marking the third new ship order placed for its German cruise line in the past nine months. The 2,030-passenger vessel, which will be constructed by Germany's Meyer Werft shipyard at an all-in cost of euro 315 million, is scheduled to enter service in April 2008. It will be a sister ship to AIDA's two previously announced 68,500-ton cruise ships which will be built at Meyer Werft and are expected to enter service in April 2007 and April 2009. Like its sister ships, the new vessel will operate under AIDA's informal "club resort" cruise concept which is aimed at younger, more active vacationers and offers a host of on-board amenities and facilities. "With an expected passenger base of approximately one million by 2010, the German market is expanding at a very rapid pace. Ordering a third 68,500-ton 'club resort' newbuild for AIDA continues our European strategy of developing this fast-growing market by offering cruises with the most exciting, modern ships available for German vacationers," said Micky Arison, Carnival Corporation & plc chairman and CEO. AIDA Cruises revolutionized the German cruise market with the introduction of its first club ships in 1996.
