While some attendees raised questions of “illegality” and the right or obligation of special operations forces to refuse an “illegal order” to wear “civilian clothing,” others urged caution.3 The discussion was unclassified, and many in the room were not * Copyright © 2003 W. TRUTH CORRODED BIOGRAPHY 2018 Drums: Jake Sproule, Vocals: Jason North, Guitar: Trent Simpson, Bass: Greg Shaw, Lead Guitar: Chris Walden TRUTH CORRODED are an Australian band with a sound that captures elements of late 80's/early 90's inspired thrash and death metal, shaped by the likes of bands such as SLAYER, OBITUARY, SEPULTURA, KREATOR and EXHORDER, and then later influenced by acts such as MISERY INDEX, BEHEMOTH, NEUROSIS, DECAPITATED and REVOCATION. Taken together the influences have shaped a sound that is as confronting as the subject matter of the bands lyrics and pays homage to the go for the throat savagery of the bands roots. TRUTH CORRODED signed with leading US extreme metal label UNIQUE LEADER RECORDS which led to the release of the album titled 'Bloodlands' which was released in March 2019. Based on themes surrounding war and displacement, the album depicts the state of our times and the social and political impact that is having both in the bands home country Australia and abroad. The title refers to the growth of new conflict from conflicts past, with the suffering it creates spreading its roots. The album was recorded with session drummer Kevin Talley (SUFFOCATION, DYING FETUS, CHIMAIRA) – his third album with the band – and was mixed and mastered by renowned heavy music producer Chris 'ZEUSS' Harris (HATEBREED, SOULFLY, REVOCATION). The album also features guest appearances by Stephen Carpenter of DEFTONES, Terrance Hobbs of SUFFOCATION, Mark Kloeppel of MISERY INDEX and Ryan Knight, ex-THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER/ARSIS. For Immediate Release November 23rd, 2011 Stillborn Records to Re-Issue DEFILER's Debut Album ‘Pangaea’ on CD -- Special CD/T-Shirt Bundle Available Now For a Limited Time DEFILER Currently in the Studio Working On New Album – Set to Announce New Label Home Shortly -- Details Forthcoming In October 2010, after a few months living in the studio working on demos and recording, Castro Valley, CA’s DEFILER released their own debut album, PANGAEA, as a digital album only. Soon after, scraping together enough money from digital sales of PANGAEA, the band shot their first ever music video for ‘Cryomancer’. Once ‘Cryomancer’ went viral it spread like wildfire, garnering thousands of views within the first few weeks of its release and accumulating over 1.25 million YouTube views to date. The viral success of the ‘Cryomancer’ video immediately caught the attention of Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed, Jasta, Kingdom of Sorrow) and Stillborn Records. Shortly thereafter, DEFILER vocalist Jake Pelzl and Jasta started working together on re-issuing PANGAEA as a physical CD for the first time ever. Due to popular demand, Stillborn Records is now fast tracking the re-issue of PANGAEA and making it available for a limited time as a CD/T-shirt bundle. The re-issue PANGAEA was remixed/re-masterd by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Emmure, Chimaira) also includes ‘Wild Wasteland’, a never before released bonus studio track. The PANGAEA re-issue will also include new artwork designed by Mike D from Darkicon Design (Killswitch Engage). DEFILER recently signed a new record deal (with a new label home) with additional details are set to be announced shortly.

THE DAYGLO’S AUSSIE TOUR #3 APRIL/MAY 2005 - ABSOLUTELY FREE PUNK, HARDCORE & METAL - THE SCUM ALSO RISES STRAPPING YOUNG LAD and shitloads more! ABSOLUTE EDITORIAL Absolute Editorial #3 Things are coming together nicely for us here at Absolute Underground. This is starting go be fun! We’re getting into a few free shows and people are starting to send in CD’s for us to review. We’ve got a lot of new people pitching in to make this rag better than ever. Emily Kendy joins us from Vancouver and brings with her a very impressive resume (The Nerve, Discorder, Terminal City, Exclaim...). We’ll be featuring a different Vancouver based band each issue starting with scum punks the Excessives. With the new Arena and Rod Stewart having played Victoria, you can just feel that this is going to be a great year for live music around town. I’m always impressed with the turnout and energy of the younger crowds at the all-ages shows. Even if you’re old you should go check one out sometime. You might find it invigorating to jump in a circle pit of mohawked fury. It was great hanging out with the crew at Spitfire Tattoo special thanks to Rick and Amanda. Electric Frankenstein was an amazing show and just proves that Victoria gets wicked shows all the time. A big middle finger to the asshole bouncers @ Diego’s who wouldn’t let me in even though I was on the guest list and then proceeded to tell the headlining act CHOKE to “pack their shit, they weren’t going to play.” This was after two huge idiots working the door beat up CHOKE’s drummer who weighs about a buck ten soaking wet.

A shiver of uneasiness surges through my body that is almost enough to mask the nauseating aroma that surrounds him. “Hey Mister. Got a cigarette?” I quickly pull my arm away as small black insect crawls from his sleeve and falls to ground. My imagination is flying. What happened here? How did it come to be this way? And there are millions just like him. We are all just like him. We are all clients.” Taken from a passage in “Clients” THE RED CHORD has been cited as one of the most influential crossover bands of the hardcore, grind and metal genres. They have been referenced, featured or interviewed in the majority of pertinent heavy music periodicals including Revolver, AP, Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Unrestrained, Decibel and Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles. This year looks to be the bands biggest year yet, with their new record and some huge tour plans to follow including The New England Hardcore & Metal Fest as well as a co-headlining tour with Bury Your Dead.
