URBAN DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATIONS Delhi, the 15 th September, 2006 No. F. 13/46/2006-UD/16071.-Whereas the Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section ll-A of the Delhi Development Act, 1956 (6 of 1957), has, vide Ministry of Urban Development (Delhi Division), Government of India's Notification S.O. 1456(E) dated the 7th September, 2006, read with Corrigendum s.o. No. l5ll(E) dated the 14th September, 2006, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, made modifications in the Master Plan for Delhi 2001, by substituting CLAUSE 10.0 MIXED USE REGULATIONS on page 165(RHS) in Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, sub-section (ii) dated the 1st August, 1990; And whereas in the said notification, (a) Para 10.3.1 (iv) provides- "iv. Identification and Notification of mixed use streets in future, shall be based on the criteria given in Para 10.3.2 and as per procedure prescribed in Para 10.3.3, and given wide publicity by the local bodies concerned."; (b) Para 10.3.3 (iii) to (v) provides _ "(iii) for the notification of mixed use streets, local bodies shall be required to 'carry out within a reasonable :time of the Notification coming into force, and with due expedition, a survey of all streets of the above mentioned width, if not already done, with a view to identifying stretches of such streets mixed use streets. (iv) The-field survey shall assess the extent of existing non-residential use on the street, of the stretch of the street to be notified, the additional requirement of civic amenities and the provision fort traffic circulation and parking . (v) The notification shall be issued by the Urban Development Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, immediately after field survey completed”' (c) Para 10.12.3 provides for notification. of commercial stretches/streets by the Urban Development Department, Government of NCT of Delhi; . And whereas the Municipal Corporation of Delhi in pursuance of the said notification, after carrying out Survey of streets and identification of street, has forwarded to the Urban Development Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, lists of streets, which may be permitted as mixed use streets, commercial stretches/streets and pedestrian shopping streets, for notification; Now, therefore, the Urban Development Department; Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, in pursuance of the said notification read with Government of India, Ministry of Urban Development (Delhi Division) Corrigendum S.O. 1511(E} dated the 14th September, 2006, hereby, notifies the mixed use streets, commercial stretches/streets and pedestrian shopping streets as under: 1. Commercial Streets. -The commercial streets identified by the Corporation in each municipal zone are as mentioned in Annexure-A-I to A-12 to' this notification. These lists do not cover streets internal to the colonies falling in categories A, B, C and D, except in special areas. 2. Mixed Use Streets.-Te mixed use streets identified by the Corporation in each municipal zone are as mentioned in Annexure-B-l to B-ll to this notification. 3. Pedestrian Shopping Streets. -The pedestrian shopping streets identified by the Corporation in each municipal zone are as mentioned in Annexure-C-l to C-10 to this notification. 4. Already Notified Mixed Use Streets as Commercial Streets. -The streets, which have already been notified under Mixed-Use category under MPD-2001 and where more than 70% commercialization has taken place, have been identified by the Corporation as commercial streets. The list of such streets are as mentioned in Annexure-D to this notification. Copies of Government of India, Ministry of Urban Development (Delhi Division) Notification S.O. 1456(E) dated the 7 th September, 2006 and Corrigendum S.O. 1511(E) dated the 14 th September 2006, are annexed as Annexure-E and Annexure-F respectively, to this Notification for ready reference.     _______________________________________________________________________________________ INDIAN SOCIETY OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS Delhi Chapter 6th Floor, Radisson Suites, Sushant Lok-I, Sector 27, Gurgaon-122002, Haryana Ph. 91-124- 4018123, 9810292967 REPORT ON THE “LUTYENS BUNGALOW ZONE (LBZ) - BOUNDARY AND DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES DUAC (DELHI URBAN ARTS COMMISSION), JULY 2015) OBJECTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS BY INDIAN SOCIETY OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS (ISOLA) DELHI CHAPTER The Indian Society of Landscape Architects (ISOLA) Delhi Chapter has reviewed the Report on Lutyens Bungalow Zone- Boundary and Development Guidelines”, submitted to the Ministry of Urban Development (Delhi Division), and issued for inviting objections/suggestions on 28th August, 2015. We, ISOLA Delhi Chapter, submit the following observations and objections to the report, prepared by DUAC for due consideration, through a landscape heritage perspective. As per the new Guidelines the character of the LBZ would change dramatically (to its detriment), with significant impact on the environment and character of Central Delhi. We would like to highlight the lack of consideration in the report to the Landscape Heritage of New Delhi. This includes the planned ‘Garden City’ planning as designed in 1930 as well as the landscape resource this area is today. LBZ needs to be conserved for the future, not only for its historic planning, but significantly its model landscape planning design; strategic planting; mature, verdant and diverse canopy (which took nearly a century to be established); and, the critical biodiversity it supports. Depriving the people of Delhi of the green lung that LBZ is today, will lead to further deterioration of the poor air quality that is plaguing our capital city. We as ISOLA Delhi Chapter strongly object to the LBZ Boundary and Development Guidelines Report by DUAC.

Professor BCIHMCT, New Delhi 2 School of Tourism and Hospitality Service Management (SOTHSM), IGNOU, New Delhi Corresponding Author: Chef Prem Ram ABSTRACT Culture of society and nation plays crucial role that is reflected and practiced in food industry in the big umbrella of food culture. Food culture talks about tradition, taboos, beliefs, rituals, interiors and influence of globalization being followed by the service provider that is being apparent in quality, quantity, varieties, taste, neatness and behaviour of service staffs as these factors lead to customer satisfaction for paid prices. The way that Food is produced, distributed, selected, obtained, afforded, stored, prepared, ordered, served, consumed, promoted, and learnt about can reveal much about the customs and attitudes of every social group (Counihan, 1998). This study is focused on Delhi only where food culture is a mixture of its past, different cultures and traditions. According to Gandhi (2015) the city of Delhi is a hub of cuisine. The city has absorbed, over the centuries, settlers, and visitors from across the globe. The emperors, the nobles, the viceroys and the sahibs all provided generous patronage to the cuisine of Delhi and contributed the cultivation of fine taste. Food culture is to be followed by concerned services provider and present study is an attempt to explore of food culture, cuisines, preferences and choices in Delhi through literature review.
