The City of Haslet Parks and Recreation Board is pleased to offer Tai Chi in the Park. What is (Tai Chi)? Taiji is an ancient Chinese martial art with extraordinary health preserving benefits. In it is often seen being practiced by people of all age groups in parks and open areas. The Chinese believe that Taiji practice improves health and increases ones and it is now considered a national treasure. Taiji’s known benefits range from improved balance, posture, flexibility, leg strength, and circulation. Taiji is often recommended by western physicians to help lower stress, pressure and even reduced the pain experienced from fiber myalgia. Brian Ebersold, with over 10-years of teaching experience, is a certified instructor of 8-Step Preying Mantis and Shyun Taiji. His Taiji curriculum is tailored to meet each individual’s needs and abilities but remains true to the authentic Chinese system.
