Travaillant d’arrache-pied depuis 2013 à se débarrasser L principalement des alliés de Jiang Zemin, l’alliance Xi-Wang a enfin réussi à purger le Parti-État afin de positionner ses alliés. Ce faisant, la transition qui aura vraiment lieu cet automne n’est pas la transition Hu Jintao- Xi Jinping, celle-ci date déjà de 2012. La transition de 2017 est celle de la Chine des années 1990 à la Chine des années 2010, soitde la Chine de Jiang Zemin à celle de Xi Jinping. Ce sera également le début de l’ère des enfants de la révolution culturelle, des « zhiqing » [知青] (jeunesses envoyées en campagne), qui formeront une majorité au sein du Politburo et qui remanieront la Chine à leur manière. Avec les départs annoncés, Xi pourra enfin former son « bandi » [班底] – garde rapprochée – au sein du Politburo et effectivement mettre en place un agenda de politiques et non pas simplement des mesures visant à faire le ménage au cœur du Parti-État. Des 24 individus restants, entre 12 et 16 devront partir; 121 sièges (si l’on compte le siège rendu vacant de Sun Zhengcai) et 16 si Xi Jinping décide d’appliquer plus « sévèrement » la limite d’âge maintenant à 68 ans. -

China's government has become a role model for facing Covid-19 outbreaks. China is now the world's wealthiest country, if we see its Gross Domestic Product from Purchasing Power Parity (GDP-PPP). China's position as the number one globally is faster than Jacques's prediction in 2009 that it will happen in 2050. For China, which does not implement liberal democracy, the writer hypothesizes that the reasonable choice to develop the economy is state-driven development through the rule of law. At present, the rule of law has become a daily conversation of the Chinese people. However, there are still many outsiders who doubt China has and applies the rule of law. It happens because China implements the rule of law with Chinese characteristics. This research will study the rule of law with Chinese characteristics, China's effort to implement the rule of law, and the rule of law on China's economy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to explain the rule of law with Chinese characteristics. It will analyze the rule of law concept and its effect on China's economy. China applies the rule of law with Chinese characteristics based on Chinese traditions, which are heavily influenced by Confucius's teachings and prioritize obligations rather than rights. -

If you want to get rich, first build a road A study on Chinese trade network building in Eurasia Marcus Syk Supervisor: Fredrik Sjöholm Department of Economics, Lund University NEKH01, Bachelor’s Thesis May 2018 Abstract This paper examines the effect of Chinese OFDI on China’s bilateral trade with affected countries, to investigate the possible build-up of a Eurasian China-centric trade network. The main contribution of the paper is to have combined economics, war theory and geopolitics to analyse and produce a theoretical framework for it. Whereas there is a lack of consensus on the effect of FDI on trade in general, this study suggests that the influence of the CCP over the Chinese economy allows the party to use Chinese OFDI for its own interests. Furthermore, trade has become a vital interest to the CCP. Another problem for the CCP is the increasing geopolitical tension with primarily USA. According to this paper, the formation of a China- centred trade network would help the Chinese domestic economic situation, increase Chinese influence in Asia and increase the economic resilience of China. All this would help address the aforementioned concerns facing the party. This was tested empirically using a modified version of the gravity model of trade. The result was in line with the theoretical prediction but not in line with the prediction of the gravity model. This could not be explained but was still taken to support the theory, thus opening for future studies on the subject. R “The reinstatement of the Chief Justice is an historic milestone in reaffirming the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary in Pakistan,” said Dato Param Cumaraswamy, ICJ Honorary E Commissioner and former UN Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Judges. “It will help restore public and international confidence in the judicial system, but for this to be effective, the Government must ensure functional independence of the judiciary, without any executive interference in the future.” S Judicial independence and separation of powers are fundamental principles of the rule of law and a cornerstone of democratic governance. Principle 4 of the UN Basic Principles on the S Independence of the Judiciary prohibits any inappropriate or unwarranted interference in the judicial process. The reinstatement of the Chief Justice is also a validation of the unprecedented two-year struggle by the Pakistan’s lawyers and civil society to restore the independence of the judiciary, pivotal for the rule of law in the country.
