The Boston Leadership Academy (a management executive program for principals of public schools at all levels of which I was one of four principal curriculum coordinators developers, and founders) was selected for "Outstanding Achievement in Leadership Preparation by Colleges and Universities" by the American Association of School Administrators. It was one of only two awards given nationally in 1990.

Co-founder (with a small group of other national colleagues) of a new international professional group---The International Association for Business and Society, 1990. Said organization exists to this day and has held annual meetings in a variety of locations (including San Diego, CA; Sundance, UT; Leuven, Belgium; Hilton Head, SC; Vienna, Austria; Santa Fe, NM, Florida, Hawaii, and Paris, France) and has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Recipient of the 1982 Social Issues in Management Doctoral Dissertation Award sponsored by the Social Issues Division of the Academy of Management and recipient of the 1982 A. T. Kearney Award for Outstanding Research in General Management, co-sponsored by the Business Policy and Planning Division of the Academy of Management. I am the only individual in the history of the Academy of Management to win both awards in the same year. Subsequent to this event, the Academy changed the rules for these awards so that both awards cannot be won by a single individual.
