Playground Pals What? This program supports children aged 8–12 years with a disability to ‘buddy’ with students from North Narrabeen Public School for fun after school activities. This free program is open to children with low-moderate support needs living on the Northern Beaches, and parents need to accompany their child to access this program. When? Layne Beachley Foundation Scholarship (for Northern Beaches girls only) In recognition of where it all started for Layne and her quest to win her first world championship, the Foundation through the generous support of Clubs NSW will award a minimum of $90,000 worth of scholarships in 2016. Successful applicants will receive a financial grant in accordance with the following amounts and conditions: $4,000 grants to individual girls or young women (or $6000 Group scholarships for 2 or more) living in the Northern Beaches, who want extra financial support to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Volunteer Grants program has Reopened After 2.5 years absence, these grants of up to $5000 are again available to small community organisations to purchase small equipment to assist their volunteers, reimburse fuel and transport costs for volunteers, and contribute towards the cost of training courses and background screening checks for volunteers.
