Woodpol Paint & Varnish Remover PRODUCT INFORMATION SHEET WOODPOL PAINT & VARNISH REMOVER PRODUCT CODE :40: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION WOODPOL is a powerful, high performance paint and varnish remover developed to meet the stringent requirements of stripping paint & varnish film from wood and metals. It offers the distinctive combination of properties associated with any other paint stripper available in the market. The formulation technology based on unique combination of solvent & imported additives which offer a number of potential performance advantages like ease of stripping without affecting the substrate. It can effectively use to woopol paint & varnish from wooden surface like old furniture & from metal surface like Automobile bodies e.g. car, bus, truck, auto, tractor, scooter, motorcycle & home appliance like refrigerators cupboards & fans etc & employed in wide area of industrial and household applications such as paintshops, workshops, garages, railways, defense, shipping industries & at homes. These unique product offer impressive performance on almost all types of paint system like two pack wood finishes, air drying & baking industrial finishes like melaminised, alkyds, polyamides, polyurethane, polyester & powder coating. The main characteristic properties of woodpol is it can dilute with NC thinner with almost no loss in performance characteristic when apply on metals. This is a significant benefit to user as cost & labor saving can be achieved while maintaining or even improving the stripping performance. SCOPE Why woodpol paint remover? Removal of old & hard paint & varnish film by sanding, scrapping, flame treatment or by mechanical means is time consuming, laborious & normally more than one operation need for complete removal. APPLICATION GUIDE 1 Areas of application : Metal and Wood. 2 Consistency of supply : Semi viscous to smooth semi paste. 3 Appearance : Almost water white & clear liqiud. 4 Method of application : Apply by brush or spray. 5 Stripping time : 15 mins. to one hour depend upon substrate & type of paint to be remove. 6 Thinner recommended : FOR WOOD: Apply as such WITHOUT THINNING with brush. : FOR METAL: BRUSHING Apply as such WITHOUT THINNING with brush. SPRAYING: Thinn with good quality NC thinner, 30 - 50% (w/v) & apply by spray. 7 Flammability : Non flammable. 8 Packing : 250 gms, 500 gms, 1kg, 5 kgs, 20 kgs. Just apply woodpol by brush or spray & leave it for some time. The high power action formula will soften/blister the film & remove it from the base without affecting the base. How it works? When applied, the woodpol wets the paint film, soften/blister it which looses the adhesion between film & substrate. The swell paint film can be removed with ease. DIRECTION FOR USE FOR WOOD & METAL SURFACE WITHOUT DILUTING 1 Lightly sand the surface with little coarse sand paper for better stripping action. 2 apply heavy coat of woodpo liberally by brush to all surface being stripped without thinning. The thicker the coat, the more effective the stripping action. Ready to use (without thinning) type is designed chiefly to woodpol paint from wooden surface. 3 Allow woodpol to remain until the paint softened & blistered. The stripping time depends upon the type of varnish or paint used & thickness of paint film. The thicker the film the more time required for stripping action. 4 Remove the swell paint film by gently scrapping with putty knife with ease. Do not keep in prolonged contact with wood as it may damaged veneered furniture. 5 Reapply stripper if finish is not completely removed & follow the step (2) (3) & (4). 6 Keep container closed when not in use. ONLY FOR METAL SURFACE WITH THINNING FOR SPRAY 1 Dilute the woodpol with good quality NC thinner & spray on metal surface like car, truck, bus & home appliance like refrigerators, cupboard & fans & follow step (2) (3) & (4) as recommended above. 2 Before using by spray, check the compatibility of NC thinner with woodpol & proceed. 3 Do not use spray method on wooden surface as stripping action may reduces on dilution, especially for two pack wood finish. HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION Although no chemical is entirely free from hazard, these products will present moderate to low risk to health provided that good standards of industrial hygiene are observed in there storage & use. 1 Handle products is area of good ventilation. Avoid inhaling since product contains volatile organic solvents. 2 Wear normal protective overall. Solvent resistance hand gloves, eye goggles are recommended. Avoid eye & skin contact. STORAGE, HANDLING & DISPOSAL 1 Store in original container is cool, dry & well ventilated place. 2 Keep out of the reach of children. 3 While handling avoid inhalation and skin contact. Force ventilation or fresh air mask should be used in confined spaces. 4 Dispose in land filling and not in drawn or water ways.
