Juventus fined 150’000 CHF

Greek FA fined for crowd disturbances

UEFA’s Control and Disciplinary Body today announced the remaining decisions taken at its meeting of 3 July 2003.

A fine of 150’000 CHF was imposed on Juventus following the lack of safety and security, including the misuse of Bengal lights and flares, and the pitch incursion that took place during the UEFA Champions League Semi-final played in Turin on 14 May 2003 against Real Madrid CF.

The Greek Football Association was fined 40’000 CHF for the throwing of missiles and fireworks that took place at the UEFA EURO 2004 ™ Group 6 qualifier between Greece and Ukraine played on 11 June 2003 in Athens.

A fine of 40’000 CHF was imposed on Internazionale FC following the throwing of missiles in the direction of the pitch at the UEFA Champions League Semi-final played against AC Milan on 13 May 2003.

Moreover, the Disciplinary Body came to the conclusion that the accusations made against Arturo Dauden Ibañez, the referee of the UEFA EURO 2004 ™ Group 10 qualifier between Switzerland and Russia, turned out to be unfounded.
