El trabajo fue realiza- do por un equipo de investigadores del Valle durante los años 2009-2017. El objetivo principal de su trabajo fue recoger los nombres de las casas para evitar su pérdida. La metodología empleada tuvo dos pilares principales: la consulta en archivos y las encues- tas orales. Como conclusión principal cabe señalar que la lengua vasca, el gascón, el castellano y el romance navarro-aragonés han dejado su impronta en la oiconimia del valle y que la costumbre de dar nombre a las casas sigue muy viva en el valle de Roncal.
