ANALYSIS & ASSESSMENT

Background The Public Address (PA) System at WestWorld is outdated and needs to be replaced. The PA system at WestWorld is utilized by the majority of events held at the facility and event producers expect a system that delivers clear communication. Use of the system is included as part of the base rental.

The current PA System has experienced failures of equipment causing over $42,000 in repairs over the past two fiscal years. Repair costs will continue to escalate as the equipment becomes older.

Safety In the event of an emergency, there will be no ability to communicate with attendees if the system is allowed to fail.

What is the customer experience? At times, event producers cannot communicate effectively with event staff and attendees. This leads to frustration for those attending events as they are not able to hear what is occurring.

Community Outreach Community Outreach was done as part of the WestWorld Master Plan process. Communication is ongoing with current event producers.
