We are giving you that CHOICE. Why should you vote for your WYTHALL RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION candidate? We need to improve the way Bromsgrove District Council is managed: The Council has lost its way and needs fresh ideas and a new approach to delivering local services. The planning department is officially the worst performing in the entire country and has been “Designated” by the Government which means that large developers are able to by-pass the Council’s democratic planning process. Your Council Tax money is being wasted on grandiose schemes to revive the flagging Bromsgrove town centre. Converting an old, unsuitable building into a new Council House with limited space and car parking, this means that virtually all of the Council staff will be based in Redditch, which adds to the expense. Borrowing over £11m to build a new Bromsgrove Town leisure centre with no sports hall and which our residents cannot reach by public transport. Council Tax payers will be repaying this debt for the next 50 years. The New Homes Bonus has not been fairly shared with Wythall. We have had to accommodate many new homes with no additional facilities or infrastructure. This short term Government funding is currently used to prop up council services—but what will happen when it runs out? Only Wythall Residents Association Councillors believe that Wythall residents should receive a fair share of this bonus.

We need to improve the way Bromsgrove District Council is managed: The Council has lost its way and needs fresh ideas and a new approach to delivering local services. The planning department is officially the worst performing in the entire country and has been “Designated” by the Government which means that large developers are able to by-pass the Council’s democratic planning process. Your Council Tax money is being wasted on grandiose schemes to revive the flagging Bromsgrove town centre. Converting an old, unsuitable building into a new Council House with limited space and car parking, this means that virtually all of the Council staff will be based in Redditch, which adds to the expense. Borrowing over £11m to build a new Bromsgrove Town leisure centre with no sports hall and which our residents cannot reach by public transport. Council Tax payers will be repaying this debt for the next 50 years. The New Homes Bonus has not been fairly shared with Wythall. We have had to accommodate many new homes with no additional facilities or infrastructure. This short term Government funding is currently used to prop up council services—but what will happen when it runs out? Only Wythall Residents Association Councillors believe that Wythall residents should receive a fair share of this bonus.

Please Help Overwhelmingly, we know that our parents are considerate when parking, Star of the week avoiding driveways and yellow lines. We appreciate that parking on drop- off/pick-up has become a bit more troublesome over the years. However, without making light of things, as one parent pointed out to me, it’s only a case RB- Erica W RT- Sienna C of setting the alarm five minutes earlier and it helps her reach her steps target for the day! RD- Alex K 1A- Lucy R Despite the ongoing cooperation and consideration of the vast majority of our parents, we still have a hard-core few who park where they should not. 1H- Ava- Mae C Accordingly, I have been asked to publicise Operation Lollipop, where 1J- Matthew N members of the public in Bromsgrove, Rubery, Alvechurch, Wythall and Hagley 2CA- Kiera H 2A- Nancy M-J are now able to send digital photographs of dangerous or inconsiderate 2K- Jack C parking outside schools directly to their Safer Neighbourhood Teams via a 3M- Harrison D dedicated email address - [email protected] 3P- Aiden J Hopefully this will dissuade this type of inconsiderate parking, which includes 3C- Alana W parking on the zig-zags, yellow lines and across driveways. I’m sure most of our 4AW- Siobhan M parents (and neighbours) will welcome this, making things safer and easing 4VW- Olly T traffic flow.
