JoJo JumpChain Anon presents... The CYOA Yo! Welcome to Earth! Well... Not necessarily the Earth you know. Different towns, different cities, that sorta difference you know? But the real difference, what separates this Earth from your home and other variants, is the existance of many, very extraordinary people. Well okay, every world has extraordinary people, but these ones are particularly bizarre. And due to the... Whoever it was that sent you here, you’ve become one of these same people. And these people wield powers that make normal folk look... Well, normal. The first ones you gotta worry about are the Vampires and the Hamon Channelers. Vampires are probably familiar to you, being undead, blood-sucking monsters. Thing is, they’re made one of two different ways: a dead corpse has a vampire’s blood pumped into it. Second option involves an artifact called a Stone Mask. The mask, when blood is smeared on it, slams large stone spikes into the wearer’s head. Mask-based vampires are particularly powerful, having complete control over their body. Then there’s the Hamon Channelers. The best way I can explain this sect, is that it’s a form of martial arts used to combat the undead. You channel solar rays into your body, and then infuse your fists, kicks, or weaponry with ‘ripples’ of it. It can completely disintegrate a vampire or zombie. Oh, and that bit about weaponry? Literally everything can be used as a weapon for them: scarves, wine droplets, glass fragments, you name it. They’ve existed since the time of the first humans, acting as guardians.

  • Sci-Fi, Superheroes, Stands, and Smash-Ups: an Interview with Artist NKN
7/13/2018 index.html Sci-Fi, Superheroes, Stands, And Smash-Ups: An Interview With Artist NKN Artist NKN has garnered significant internet fame in just around a year, with pop culture-inspired work like this early 'Rick and Morty' piece. [Credit: NKN] One of the best things about being in a niche, blossoming fandom is finding the brilliant rays of talent lighting the path along the way. I knew when I first set eyes on his series of Final Fantasy-inspired Jojo's Bizarre Adventure mashups, I had to enlist the work of NKN for my #30in30 project, going in-depth on everything #JJBA I could for its 30th anniversary. His raw talent mixed with a clever eye for creative combinations made me a quick fan, but his passion and dedication to the artistic craft show him to be an even more impressive powerhouse. I recently sat down with him to talk about his art, his passions, his projects, and of course plenty of anime. So I thought I'd start kinda easy: tell me about yourself, how you got into illustration. “ "I started when I was a child drawing Street Fighter and Saint Seiya characters, mostly just copying official artwork or tiny drawings on the borders of the page. But later I moved on to my own characters most of the time, which weren't very good, but that's always to be expected of your first creations. I always had this dual influence from both anime and Western comics, mostly #SpiderMan and #XMen, and there was all the Image comics rage at the time, with Spawn, Gen-13, Witchblade, Savage Dragon, etc.

  • Jojo's Bizarre Adventure!
"Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure takes place in an alternate reality, where not only stuff like vampires and supermartial arts and spiritual manifestations exist, but the 80s won the fashion wars and took over style in every time and place. Accumulated 80sness has resulted in outfits, hair, names, and posing simply too rad for most people to handle. It is a cruel world, where only the most beautiful survive." NovaPolice, SA Jojo's Bizarre Adventure! Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an incredibly longrunning manga series written and drawn by Hirohiko Araki since 1987, currently up to eight parts in 108 volumes. It's also completely fuckin' rad. Jojo's is a story centered around the Joestar family line and the ridiculous situations they find themselves in. Ripples, vampires, super vampires, stupidly complex spiritual manifestations, a twomonth long horse race, and more! Almost all named after progressive rock bands. There's a little jargon that'll get thrown around surrounding the abilities of the various Joestars that can be hard to grasp on first read, so the first four pages of this doc cover that. Thereafter are the rules. The game uses the Fate engine, specifically the rules given in Fate Core, which as far as I'm aware is identical to the Strands of Fate engine. Just, well, completely free. It's also pretty much just a modified version of Spirit of the Century with an extra step to Character Creation, a different tone and different set of skills. Utilize a standard 4dF dice set. If you've already read JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, feel free to skip to page five.
