Job Announcement Chief Medical Officer

The Chief Medical Officer position is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, ambitious who is seeking a meaningful leadership role in a successful, federally funded health care organization. The CMO will be an integral member of the senior team and will oversee and direct the overall provision of medical services at each of our agency's clinic sites. The CMO will advise and supervise all licensed providers at the clinics and will work with fellow agency leadership in developing clinical programs, strategies and quality improvement initiatives. The CMO will also serve as a practicing physician on the provider team, maintaining his or her own panel of dedicated patients. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  Minimum 5 years of experience as a practicing physician  Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience  Strong knowledge of nursing process and medical model, health and physical assessment, medical diagnosis and appropriate treatments  Ability to manage and lead clinic operations  Skill in written and verbal communication  Enthusiasm and willingness to promote growth and expansion of low and no-cost healthcare services for underserved communities  Knowledge of various practice management models, with the ability to creatively solve problems and develop practical solutions  Knowledge of practices, proper , and related programs  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public, and ability to manage and lead clinic operations  Bilingual in English/Korean or English/Spanish preferred, but not required  Compassion for the health of the underserved and uninsured communities  Experience in community clinic setting highly desired

Education, Licensing & Certification  Medical Doctor degree from accredited institution  Current Medical License from the Medical Board of California  Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate with current DEA Registration number  Board Certification  First Aid / CPR / Emergency Resuscitation Certification  Applicants are subject to, and must pass, a full background check.
